  1. I bought a set of these (eG-friendly Amazon.com link) last year with the intention of freezing my leftover buttermilk but still haven't done it.
  2. Good question, I wonder about this too. Can't tell you how much buttermilk I've thrown out simply because I never got around to using it.

    Wow! What a feast!
  7. I particularly love the All Clad Everyday line. Much improved handles and a pouring lip.
  8. There are extra-wide-mouth canning jars available, Ball is one brand but there are others. It might take a bit of searching to find them.

  10. Our @btbyrd is a good resource when it comes to knives perhaps he'll chick in and take a look.
  11. I hope so, that's a lovely knife. Can you send it to a professional for a repair?

On a moderately chilly day I'm making chicken and dumplings! Comfort food at its best.

  17. When you make your grilled ham and cheese next time try adding a big smear of yellow mustard prior to grilling. Big flavor especially if you're a mustard fan. A good friend made this years ago and it was a revelation to me.
  18. Uh-oh. I didn't see this.
  19. How about doing them this way? here.
  20. IIRC, ATk just called one their pieces (I think it was the skillet) 'the best', beating out a comparable Alll Clad.
  21. I think I'm going to have to give up on the raw ACV. It's so strong smelling and tasting! I have to hold my nose to drink it even when it's well diluted. Fortunately I can get ACV in gummy form and it's said to be just as effective. I'm hoping for arthritis relief.
  22. I've always used a church key for beer and pop cans...I don't eat sardines so I don't know if that would work for them.
  23. Love the look of the m/w bowls....I've been enabled to buy one, the medium size. I'm puzzled by the metal rims on the lids. Is that no longer an issue?

When I read the temperature and then the forecast this morning I know it had to be soup for dinner tonight. Ham and bean soup this time, now cooking away in the crockpot. The meat packing shop has the most amazing hm shanks, very big and meaty, they make wonderful soups.
