My favorite way to make fried chicken. Looks SOOOOO good!
-
They are quite addictive. I absolutely have to get more next time I'm out at the big store.

Every day I am so thankful for this thread and everyone that posts on it. Helps me think of dinner ideas and lifts my mental state! Still getting a lot of asparagus from the garden...but that will end very soon as it's supposed to be 100 degrees today and very hot in the coming week. I made some pasta dough earlier this week. I got too much hydration so it's very difficult to work with, but I wasn't about to toss out 4 eggs worth of dough. It tastes good, even though it looks not so good. Oxtail ragu on top. Big salad along with some decent store bought corn that's been in the fridge for a while and chicken gizzards

I bought from Ebay--$3.50 including shipping

Dang it you enablers! I ordered just now.

I love that you make such a variety. Looks SO good. With just two of us, I don't do that.....I would love artichokes , but Ronnie does not. I've done half and half, but I make such small ones that it's just not the best way to go. Pizza night for us too--Italian sausage and pepperoni I think.

I've been wanting to be outside all of the time lately. Spending a lot of time in the garden. Garden looks good. The house does not. I need to clean....but my spirits are so much better when I'm outside. That's an excuse right? Right??? lol. Anyway, I've felt like I've been in a food rut again so trying to rectify that. Venison cheeseburgers on pretzel bun Got this pretty chard the other day so catfish, mac and cheese and chard Last night I made some pasta. Spinach and cheese ravioli. Salad topped with nasturtium flowers Ravioli topped with crawfish alfredo

Yeah if it's whole, I'd dilute more than 50%. I've mostly read about people spraying, but I'd live dangerously and just pour it.....
-
Can I pour sour milk in my garden? Any type of milk, including fresh, expired, evaporated, and powdered, can be used in a garden as long as it's diluted properly. Stick with reduced-fat (2 percent) or low-fat (1 percent) milk, rather than skim or whole options. Mix the milk with water in a 50-50 ratio and pour it into a spray bottle.Oct 9, 2019 ----------------- I googled.....

Not one of us would judge this--it all sounds delicious!

Oh Kim. Ronnie and I are so very very sorry for your loss. You are such a great daughter and you did amazing with her. I am so happy that you were allowed in for a while. I know that she heard your voice and knew you were there. She's up there with your dad and watching over you and Mr. Kim and Jessica now. I'm glad you can cook a nice soothing dinner this evening. You deserve it. (((hugs)))

Sigh. I'd just absolutely love to taste a fresh ramp. I have a jar of pickled ones in the cabinet to make that dressing that Jo and others rave about.
-
Yay!!! I'm glad you're stocked up!

Was going to do beef steaks on the grill last night but it was rainy and chilly so I SV'd them instead asparagus salad and deviled eggs scalloped taters to go with
-
I am solidly aligned with Mr. Kim. I am a pro.

Yeah....my first try at curbside was a total failure. From Sam's it was pretty good except they had no TP available online but I saw with my own eyes people walking out of the store with TP...so ...ugh. On the good side your meat looks great!
-
Same with lots of salt and black pepper
-
I'm the same way! Oh those tiny, tender potatoes.....delicious. I just ate some cold straight out of the fridge.
-
I have to have creamed peas and new potatoes at least once a spring and last night was the night. I make sure to plant extra potatoes so that I don't feel guilty about digging up the little guys Ronnie has been wanting a pork roast done in the slow cooker. I don't remember where I got the recipe, but I've had it for years. Make slits in the roast and stuff with garlic cloves, salt and pepper and then sear the roast on all sides. Place sliced onions (and carrots if you wish) in bottom of cooker. Place roast on top of those along with a couple bay leaves. More onions on top of roast. Mix 4 TB soy sauce with 2 cups hot water and pour into cooker. Cook on low all day long. When ready, remove roast, carrots and onions. Pour the liquid into a sauce pan. Mix 4 TB cornstarch with 4 TB cold water. Add to liquid and bring to a boil. Makes a really good gravy.

ME TOO. Every time she posts a picture of those I want one. I have looked several times at the smaller grocery store for those hash brown patties, but never could find them. But yesterday I found them at the big city store! I was so excited. I had to make one just now to test it. Very good. 7 mins at 450F in the CSO. Flip. Bake for 7 more mins. Kinda wish I'd bought 2 packages of them......

Yeah. Same. I think stuff like salad bars and buffets might become extinct.

I had a big day yesterday--big city grocery store early in the morning and then hours of working in the garden. I was really tired by the evening and glad I had taken some pizza dough out to thaw. The olive bar at the store has long been taken away due to the virus....and to be honest, if it ever comes back I will have some second thoughts about scooping olives out of something that bunches of people have touched. Anyway, they had individual containers of the olives that we like so I picked one up. Went well with jalapeño pepperoni pizza and salad
