Response from Cuisinart regarding the CSO 500C --my email to them is first. ---------------------------- Hello! A friend of mine was searching today to buy a new CSO 300N1 and it was impossible to find one. I ran across Costco's website in Canada that had a CSO 500C. I searched hard and can't find it for sale here in the US. Will it ever be available here? Thanks in advance for your time. ------------------------------- Hello, Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately the unit you are inquiring about is no longer being produced Canadian units are not for sale within the US and we do not have information if they will be available in the future We apologize for the inconvenience and we thank you for your understanding Thank you, Cuisinart Consumer Service ------------------- Bummer

You could be very right. I'm just excited that after all these years, I'm not alone in my rice cooking method LOL.

We went to Sam's the other day. They had shrimp and some really good pork chops and steaks on sale so we loaded up. Had to make fried shrimp for dinner Pork chops, Alfredo-ish zoodles and the always present cucumbers and tomatoes from the garden. The tomatoes are SO good. Did a major splurge. Made bread--HAVE to have BLT's with real bread. Along with fries. Homemade strawberry sauce and strawberry ice cream for dessert. Big salad night to atone for BLT night. I had leftover bacon so I stuffed some mushrooms too. Really good lamb chops last night. Cauliflower "potato" salad again to go with. That's a keeper recipe. Also collards from the garden.

I don't remember how old I was--probably around 12??? Anyway I made white rice after school one day for a snack. I did it just like I'd do pasta--I boiled unmeasured water and dumped rice it. It worked fine. I later learned that's the wrong way to do it. I've always wondered why when it worked just fine lol.

You need to just make more counter space 😁 I wanna know if I want one or not.

Wow, good find! It does look very similar if not exactly the same as the CSO 500

I saw this too and I couldn't find it available down here. I wonder why? I went to the Cuisinart website, found the customer service email address and sent them an inquiry as to why it isn't being sold here. We will see if they respond.

No she's right here in KS.
-
PS if you wouldn't have bought that one on EBAY I would have
-
Sigh I know. My husbands daughter could prolly make a fortune on hers if she keeps holding on to it lol.

Yay!!! I think you made a good decision. I bet your pan fits.

This site has one at a huge price When you look at older listings on Amazon, it shows the N1 in the picture, but labels it as just 300N. I'm still searching to find interior measurements of the 300N.
-
You might ask the seller...the picture listed shows the 300N1, not the 300N........maybe they mislabeled it? However, I'd still buy the 300N even if it doesn't have the steam clean cycle button.....
-
Chatgpt tells me: The Cuisinart CSO-300N1 is essentially an upgraded version of the CSO‑300N (and earlier CSO‑300C). Here's what sets the N1 apart: 🔧 Key Differences Steam-Clean Function The N1 includes a dedicated "steam clean" cycle—designed to clean the oven by running a steam cycle at approximately 210 °F to loosen residue. The earlier N model lacks this feature Cuisinart+9Amazon+9Home Coffee Solutions+9Cuisinart+2Houzz+2Gardenweb+2. Slightly Larger Interior Reviews and user discussions report that the N1 has marginally increased internal capacity—enough to accommodate cast-iron skillets up to about 10″ at an angle—whereas the N is a bit tighter Thibeault's TableGardenweb. Same Removable Water Reservoir Both the N and N1 share the updated removable water reservoir, which makes steam cleaning and refilling much more convenient than the original CSO‑300 model Houzz. Summary Table Feature CSO‑300N CSO‑300N1 Removable reservoir ✔︎ ✔︎ Steam-clean cycle No ✔︎ Interior capacity Standard (≈ CSO‑300C) Slightly larger lol I note that chatgpt notes our own @Ann_T regarding the interior size

OMG I'm taking over your thread lol. This one on EBAY says it's been taken out of the box but never used.....I'd pull the trigger on it...... “The oven is new, never used. It has been taken out of the box and put back in. It has a tiny dent (1/16") on the edge. User guides are included. Grills and trays are still sealed in original packaging.”Read Lessabout the seller notes

BTW, I had that noise happen sporadically. Very high pitched and annoying. It hasn't happened for quite a while now, though. I'd hit the cancel button and then restart and that would end it most of the time. I'm jinxing myself I bet lol.

I've never bought anything off of this place and the shipping it absolutely ridiculous but they have 99 of them in stock (supposedly) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3256809011274309.html?src=google&pdp_npi=4%40dis!USD!541.93!216.77!!!!!%40!12000048267529673!ppc!!!&src=google&albch=shopping&acnt=708-803-3821&isdl=y&slnk=&plac=&mtctp=&albbt=Google_7_shopping&aff_platform=google&aff_short_key=UneMJZVf&gclsrc=aw.ds&&albagn=888888&&ds_e_adid=&ds_e_matchtype=&ds_e_device=c&ds_e_network=x&ds_e_product_group_id=&ds_e_product_id=en3256809011274309&ds_e_product_merchant_id=5598506907&ds_e_product_country=US&ds_e_product_language=en&ds_e_product_channel=online&ds_e_product_store_id=&ds_url_v=2&albcp=20546179816&albag=&isSmbAutoCall=false&needSmbHouyi=false&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=17338725097&gbraid=0AAAAAD6I-hGBKPcfqsHHPxz-Yq5sHPumF&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIrOmKkOHLjgMVKZzuAR258BLXEAQYEyABEgKTzvD_BwE

I feel your pain, too. I gave both of Ronnie's daughters one for Christmas in 2019. One uses it ALL the time and loves it. As far as I know the other one has never even taken it out of the box. I've BEGGED her to sell it back to me multiple times. I'm not sure why she won't --prolly because I want it so badly lol. I'll try again but I doubt she'll let it go. Back then I paid $160 for one.
