I think I remember her. Did she do something called Tastings by Tammy?

I'm horrified

Patti--I seem to be picking on you lately--🤣. I just am loving all the low carb meals you're making. Is that bacon sprinkled on the shrimp or?

It's funny you say that....because, I ordered the tails and they are supposed to be here New Year's Eve. That can be anywhere between like 11 in the morning until who knows at night lol. My only other option was to get them delivered on Christmas Eve and I decided that would be a bad idea because of how shipping is this time of year especially here in the sticks. SO, my point is, depending on what time they get here on NYE, there might not be time to thaw them out ....or there might be a few hours. Or, I might have to take my life in my hands and eat them for New Year's Day dinner--and horrors not do the usual lucky ham. I guess I like to live life on the edge lol. Edited to add I appreciate everyone's input so much. The tails aren't cheap and I don't want to screw them up. I guess I don't have to SV them but I do remember when I did one time we loved them they were absolutely perfect.

Ok got it. Thank you!

Thank you again. SO much.

THANK YOU. Seriously thank you. I just don't have the bandwidth to figure out the best way and I know my fellow EG'ers will know.

Hi --I don't have time to research and I realize that's irritating. I need best SV time and temp for lobster tails. And do I thaw first or start from frozen? Butter? Seasonings? I may have done them before but I'm older and...I just am tired lol.

Thanks for this. Always on the hunt for new low carb recipes. Do you find hemp hearts at a regular grocery store?

I have some that are hand embroidered-and one at least that is beaded (which is weird--I don't wanna blow my nose into a beaded area lol).

https://www.bettycrocker.com/how-to/tipslibrary/tools-equipment/best-ever-slow-cooker-cheese-hash-brown-casserole I do it the day before I need them and just reheat and add more cheese on top early enough so it melts, but close enough to serving. It's not fancy but my crew loves it. I do add more salt and pepper and I omit the onion because we have an onion hater lol. Probably they wouldn't even know it was in there but I aim to please sigh.

I like it. Plus it doesn't scream Christmas--you'll get more use out of it all year round IMO. OMG I have SO many hankies. TONS. Maybe I should start a new topic. Some of mine are so great. But they live drawers. A long time ago I made a "valance" over my kitchen window out of them. I'm one that loves vintage stuff so whatever my Grammy wanted to give me, I took and kept. To a fault lol.

Yeah, I used to get oxtails so cheap and we love them. I'm not paying the ridiculous price that they are at now. We went to the big city to Sam's, Dillons and the liquor store to get stocked up for Christmas Eve when I have the kids over. OMG the grocery store was a nightmare. And it was only like 10 am. We had to drive around and wait for someone to leave to get a parking place. AND NO frozen hash browns--except for 3 bags of a brand called Mr. Dell's that comes in a 64 oz bag. Never heard of it. Hope they don't suck. The kids love the cheesy hash browns in the crockpot. Apparently everyone does lol.

It feels more like spring time around here. I don't need to be wearing shorts and flip flops on Christmas Day sigh lol. Come on cold! Tuna melts in a pepper, fries and deviled eggs Sv'd pork loin, mushroom sauce and roasted asparagus Roasted quail, salad and brussels sprouts

I was going to say the same thing. Ronnie and I fight over the dark cheese and he always wins arrrgh.

I went through some drawers in the dining room and pulled out a few things: Lots of lace tablecloths and a billion lace? Crocheted? Things in all shapes and sizes like this:

No no I really don't! I really appreciate the information.

Thank you for telling me! I've been watering every other day. I will step it up.

Remember when the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas seemed like a year? Now it seems like a couple of days lol. I'm doing brunch on Christmas Eve day, again, for us and Ronnie's kids and grandkids. I'm so glad I posted on last years thread--I think I'll do almost the exact same menu. What's everyone else doing? Are you going to have a white Christmas?

Still cooking over here....albeit the same things over and over. Still semi-trying to stay kind of away from carbs lol. When our hunter friend is here that goes out the window...and it seems like it stays out the window until after New Year's Day lol. Roasted chicken quarters, asparagus and stewed tomatoes Big salad to use up a bunch of leftover steak Fried chicken tenders, cooked to death green beans and cheesy cauliflower I was naughty last night and made pizza because I had sauce and Italian sausage leftover from making stuffed peppers a few days ago. Also my Broncos are doing so well this year (sorry Chiefs). AND, MONTHS ago I bought one of those basil plants that the grocery store sells. Much cheaper in the long run than those little Melissa's packets that give you like 5 sprigs for $20 lol. Anyway, I had Ronnie plant him for me. He's so happy here in the kitchen. So, fresh basil on the pizza with a salad

Agreed. I'm short. Maybe I could pass as a friend 🙃🤣

Oh me too me too.

Excellent job! Nope, I'd be the exact same way. You want equal amounts of the good stuff in all containers
