Breakfast for dinner last night. Tomato salad, sausage gravy, biscuits Last week the grocery store had huge bags of bananas for 1.49 total. So, we've been eating a lot of bananas. They are starting to go bad so banana cake for dessert.

I'm craving fish roe @liuzhou. It's been a long time since I've had any. Venison burgers again Yesterday Ronnie went fishing. Caught a few white bass. We have both been wanting ceviche so I made a small batch A friend of Ronnie's still has asparagus coming out of his ears so he dropped some off in our mailbox (social distancing ya know) I fried the rest of the fish

It was really good! I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. It had cilantro, radishes, green onions, pickled jalapeños (didn't have anything else close) fresh lime juice and salt.

I might be looking for something that doesn't exist. I picked a whole lot of these: I dont remember what type of lettuce this is...it is a little stiffer than leaf lettuce ...... I googled but didn't get much out of it.Hoping you creative people have some ideas. I want to stuff these with something...maybe even grill them or wilt them....any ideas (my question mark doesn't work sigh. Having keyboard problems)

Having major problems with my MacBook Pro keyboard. I'm guessing that either a key is stuck (can't find it) or sigh I dunno. Anyway...it is maddening. Oh man, I'm jealous. You should see my basement and my craft room and my closets and kitchen....sigh. It's overwhelming. You'd think now of all times would be a good time to tackle it all, but I can't even bring myself to look at the rooms. All I want to do is be outside in the garden. I've never read this whole thread...I'll do so and maybe that will get me motivated!

Great meals, everyone. I'm so glad , that even during this time, there are diverse ingredients available for everyone....or even if something we want isn't available, we seem to be adapting and using what we do have. Venison cheeseburgers. I reduced my fry count. I should have put more on the plate for the sake of the picture 🤣 Down to the end of the asparagus from the garden. Sigh. I will miss it more than usual this year. Hot wings, tomato salad to go with Venison meatloaf last night. Ronnie had a meatloaf sandwich for lunch....good stuff.

I forgot to add..and don't faint.... I was out of heavy cream. I use it quite often. O M G the price. $9.55 for a quart.

Went to the store that has the pharmacy that we use. Very disappointing. Only myself and one other customer wearing masks. No wipes to wipe carts down. I brought my own in my purse. Meat section was ok. No signs limiting purchases. Saw lots of pork and chicken. Very little beef. TP isle was super bare. Only a few packs of off brand...like 5-10 left. Cleaning isle still bare. No yeast STILL. I don't need any, it's just something I spot check every time I'm there.

Did you use a different kind of bread than you normally use?

That's great! I need to use mine more. It's sitting behind a door to the kitchen so it's not like it's hard to access... I dehydrated a ton of zucchini a couple of summers ago. Took forever to rehydrate but they were great.

Wow, it all looks really great Kay! So glad some asparagus was left! How many years before you can pick? I forget...they sell 1,2 and 3 year crowns?

I am not a member and have never been there but maybe due to meat shortages? Edited to say--we are having shortages here in Kansas.....so it would make sense that you are too....

Made a huge grilled chicken salad. Veggies from the garden. Different cheeses. Really hit the spot. Too many salad pictures lol. Saturday I met with my cleaning angel/friend at a safe distance in her yard. We traded some things. Included..she gave me strawberries from her garden SO good. I gave her a huge bag of lettuces and radishes from mine. So, I had to make a little white cake in the CSO to go with the whipped cream and fresh berries. Side dish was dinner of venison chile and canned tamales.

Between my mouth surgery, being so sick in January and this pandemic I've lost weight. While cooking the other night my shorts fell down. I left them where they landed and carried on. Luckily I was wearing a long t-shirt.
