Did you use a different kind of bread than you normally use?
-
That's great! I need to use mine more. It's sitting behind a door to the kitchen so it's not like it's hard to access... I dehydrated a ton of zucchini a couple of summers ago. Took forever to rehydrate but they were great.

Wow, it all looks really great Kay! So glad some asparagus was left! How many years before you can pick? I forget...they sell 1,2 and 3 year crowns?
-
I am not a member and have never been there but maybe due to meat shortages? Edited to say--we are having shortages here in Kansas.....so it would make sense that you are too....

I promise, I'll find it again around here sooner than later π€£

Lecter, Newman, Chum and Scout. A parent shouldn't traumatize their kids like that.

Made a huge grilled chicken salad. Veggies from the garden. Different cheeses. Really hit the spot. Too many salad pictures lol. Saturday I met with my cleaning angel/friend at a safe distance in her yard. We traded some things. Included..she gave me strawberries from her garden SO good. I gave her a huge bag of lettuces and radishes from mine. So, I had to make a little white cake in the CSO to go with the whipped cream and fresh berries. Side dish was dinner of venison chile and canned tamales.

Between my mouth surgery, being so sick in January and this pandemic I've lost weight. While cooking the other night my shorts fell down. I left them where they landed and carried on. Luckily I was wearing a long t-shirt.

Seriously wow -
My favorite way to make fried chicken. Looks SOOOOO good!

They are quite addictive. I absolutely have to get more next time I'm out at the big store.

Every day I am so thankful for this thread and everyone that posts on it. Helps me think of dinner ideas and lifts my mental state! Still getting a lot of asparagus from the garden...but that will end very soon as it's supposed to be 100 degrees today and very hot in the coming week. I made some pasta dough earlier this week. I got too much hydration so it's very difficult to work with, but I wasn't about to toss out 4 eggs worth of dough. It tastes good, even though it looks not so good. Oxtail ragu on top. Big salad along with some decent store bought corn that's been in the fridge for a while and chicken gizzards

I bought from Ebay--$3.50 including shipping

Dang it you enablers! I ordered just now.

I love that you make such a variety. Looks SO good. With just two of us, I don't do that.....I would love artichokes , but Ronnie does not. I've done half and half, but I make such small ones that it's just not the best way to go. Pizza night for us too--Italian sausage and pepperoni I think.

I've been wanting to be outside all of the time lately. Spending a lot of time in the garden. Garden looks good. The house does not. I need to clean....but my spirits are so much better when I'm outside. That's an excuse right? Right??? lol. Anyway, I've felt like I've been in a food rut again so trying to rectify that. Venison cheeseburgers on pretzel bun Got this pretty chard the other day so catfish, mac and cheese and chard Last night I made some pasta. Spinach and cheese ravioli. Salad topped with nasturtium flowers Ravioli topped with crawfish alfredo

Yeah if it's whole, I'd dilute more than 50%. I've mostly read about people spraying, but I'd live dangerously and just pour it.....
-
Can I pour sour milk in my garden? Any type of milk, including fresh, expired, evaporated, and powdered, can be used in a garden as long as it's diluted properly. Stick with reduced-fat (2 percent) or low-fat (1 percent) milk, rather than skim or whole options. Mix the milk with water in a 50-50 ratio and pour it into a spray bottle.Oct 9, 2019 ----------------- I googled.....

Not one of us would judge this--it all sounds delicious!

Oh Kim. Ronnie and I are so very very sorry for your loss. You are such a great daughter and you did amazing with her. I am so happy that you were allowed in for a while. I know that she heard your voice and knew you were there. She's up there with your dad and watching over you and Mr. Kim and Jessica now. I'm glad you can cook a nice soothing dinner this evening. You deserve it. (((hugs)))

Sigh. I'd just absolutely love to taste a fresh ramp. I have a jar of pickled ones in the cabinet to make that dressing that Jo and others rave about.
