  1. If she actually calls back, keep saying this line ""....due to the fact that we are a small business we contract our accounting services out in another state, I will do my best to get in touch with them about your check....."" evetually she will go away tracey
  2. Tony Its hopeless you just have the wrong mix of tourists. Most visitors looking for food outside of a park are just looking for anything not Disney or are cheaping out in the first place by not staying in a park. I have eaten dinner in the Orlando area twice, once in a generic random pub, it was fine....and once on 9/11 at a Sizzler...it wasnt fine, and the only reason we werent in the park was that they were closed. I dont think there is any hope, your fair city has been turned into the Walmart of vacationland tracey

It is just amazing how a little Friday night traffic can bring a group of 7 down to 4 Oh well Stinger and the lovely V joined Karl and I for Koreafest 2007. While there was still hope we ordered a seafood and scallion pancake that was quickly scarfed with its scallion dipping sauce, while we got the traffic news and confirmation that we were a foursome We called the waitress back and ordered a #20 Pork and Kimchee stew over soft tofu...may I say clouds of soft tofu with rich pork, rice cake and loads of kimchee and onions the staff got a little ahead of themselves bringing the banchan and the meats to BBQ while the grill was still covered by the stew dish...so we ate a little faster so we could get to our spicy squid bbq and finally, the to die for spicy pork bbq My quest to try something more than BBQ has finally succeded but next time I want a really big group, so we can cause some trouble tracey
  4. The last 3 packages that I recieved were mandatory signature, which in one case meant waiting 5 days including "first notice" (never got that one) second notice, Fedex physically moving their NNJ Hub over a weekend and finally someone at Fedex even knowing where the Hub was now. So in brief this may be a question to ask when ordering food...""Will I need to sign for this???"" tracey

  7. BLTs. The best sandwich ever! So no mention of Philly cheesesteaks? Chicago hot beef? Beef on weck? ← Those are supposed to be hot....vs an Italian cold cut sandwich that someone decides to toast. T
  8. this is of no help to you but...years ago there was a no-bake pumpkin cheesecake recipe in all the magazines...it was put out by the Jello Pudding people and used instant pudding. My grandmother doesnt like instant pudding so she made vanilla pudding and then added all the liquid ingrediants to that.....Parfait anyone? good thing she had pretty dessert glasses tracey
  9. I just did pork in the Lee Kum Kee paste marinade and I heat ted up the the grill then brought the temp all the way down and turned the meat alot. Once in a while I would get that burnt sugar smell but they came out perfect.... low slow turn em tracey I grilled some pineapple with it too
  10. As far as the baking sheets I like the Airbake ones that are 2 layers...you would have to TRY to burn the bottom of anything with those sheets Tracey
  11. Now I really miss that cheap-ass lemon cake mix from childhood with the tub of lemon frosting Yes lemon for sure, although chocolate with cream cheese frosting is tasty too tracey

    Dinner! 2007

I have a feeling that the gyro my hubby got for lunch yesterday left him wanting something better because he asked for those "grilled lamb things" for dinner, and can you make that "sauce" too? So it was a half boneless leg of lamb rubbed with paprika, garlic powder, cayenne, salt, pepper, and oregano and Grilled dressed with lettuce, tomato, onion, and cucumber dill sauce all on a pocketless pita tracey
  13. I know there is a goat gouda...and dont forget the more aged a cows milk cheese is, the less "distress" it causes tracey
  14. I dont know where the grape jelly/chili sauce version came from but...the meatballs with grape jelly actually had a noble begining. Swedish Meatballs have a little Lingon Berry Jam to bring balance and tartness to the sauce. Well we didnt have Lingon Berry jam here so someone added grape jelly and of course if a little is good alot must be better. I am so fortunate that all my work potlucks are arranged by 1st generation Mexican girls that can still cook. tracey
  15. I just realized that my camera was sitting on the table all through breakfast and my sandwich was soooo good I even had my hubby taste it but alas no picture. It was just a pastrami and egg on a big kaiser roll but it was at least an inch of moist fatty jucy drippy pastrami and a fried egg on said roll damn tasty and damn luck since we got no where near the free bbq tent at the motorcycle event we went to today tracey

  18. Just a good place to mention this trick.... before leaving on vacation place an ice cube in a bowl in the freezer... if it is still a cube when you get back you know the power didnt happen to go out while you were gone. tracey
  19. They taste terrible, to me. It was just the effort involved in balancing the layers and getting to her without mixing up a single perfect one, that I was thinking of. ← The Russian Quaalude is a much tastier version....Vodka, Kahlua, and Baily's also layered tracey

    Dinner! 2007

If my husband knew what I spent on myself when he went out..... While shopping for some steak that was on sale I decided to use my savings on a very large D'Artagnian duck breast as the fat rendered out I poured it off and used some to fry up potato slices and finished the whole thing off with a pan sauce made with sherry vin, duck demi, and Maman cherry preserves and I have about a cup of duck fat left tracey
  21. Hide it in a tin marked cream of tartar and save it all for yourself. you work too hard feeding your family things you cant have it would also be good with baby carrots tracey
  22. Personally what I noted was that over 25% of the calories in the meal came from the dinner rolls, and that although the article states that there are 39 grams of fat and 75 grams of carbs in the aforementioned dinner rolls, it fails to note their size tracey
  23. My girl scout leader always told us bugs were just Extra Protein tracey
