We have a KFC/Taco hell combo store near my office. For $2.12 I can get a buffalo chicken snacker and an apple empanada and be back at work in 10 min...its evil and not done often tracey

Norman Deli ham can be as much as 30% inject water solution ie "ham and water product" "ham water added" or just Ham you cant make one as moist as they can but the last one I made was a tiny spiral cut job and I reduced 20 oz of gingerale with fresh sliced ginger and sealed it up with foil in a low oven...actually someone turned the oven off on me but all was good tracey

Rebecca, et al My office cafeteria served something they claimed was potato kugel on Wednesday, now I dont know from kugel but these looked like lumps of baked stuffing that were hard and dry and scented with cinnamon...thats not kugel is it? the brisket wasnt too bad ...marinated in apple cider with crispy onions on top tracey

OK Lasagna is made, sausage and meatballs are simmering away, house is almost clean. Should go and cut the celary and hold in cold water. Borrowed enough chairs, tables and tablecloths...purchased the brown and serve dinner rolls (oh the shame) lamb is defrosting (SLOWLEY) ....had chili dogs for dinner on the way to pick up the borrowed tables dog is glaring at me because I vaccumed his couch and wont let him back on it tracey

Its true Within reason...like the expiration date ....eggs lose moisture as they age, the air inside the shell then makes them easier to peel I of course have very fresh eggs to make my deviled eggs with on Sunday tracey

In the same direction I was wondering about a thin pesto and perhaps spiking things with lemon, lime or orange zest for brightness. Hmm roasted garlic oil with lemon zest and a sprinkle of parm its going to have to be herbs...all the variations on mints and thymes, sorrel, watercress and other bitter herbs may brighten things up too as add ins or purees (back to pesto) tracey tart - thats the word I was thinking of ..bitter to replace tart

Do people put anything else on french fries? Growing up we had brown gravy and turkey gravey....can be used interchangeably French fries get whatever kind the diner has, and I may have discovered white gravy on a drive to Florida about 15 years ago. Chili's would be the major source of white gravy in NJ. where does the cream of mushroom pork chop bake stand in all this graviness? tracey

how about pureeing the garlic with fresh herbs and a touch of mustard....smear that on the meat and pat on some bread crumbs....brown in an oven proof pan and pop into the oven till desired temp? tracey

Not for Passover per se but when I do a leg of lamb I get it boneless and butterfly till it is one even flat piece. Season with paprika, garlic, S&P and rub with olive oil....roast or grill 30 to 40 min for med rare you could do this bone in or boned, rolled and tied but it takes Much longer tracey

I was thinking rabbit....just kidding. I have a loverly leg of lamb waiting and hubby will do his lasagna (off the Ronzoni box) with meatballs. I cant decide weather to add grilled chicken or some ham. Veg usually include grilled asparagus, eggplant, squash, etc have to have cheese n crackers....maybe some crab salad and tomato or white bean crostini, deviled eggs...M-I-L usually does dessert tracey

Well everyone talking about Korean in NJ really got me going for something Spicy. So off to Keo Ku and yummy again....rib slices and spicy pork as usual. Banchan included napa and cucumber kimchee - bean sprouts - broiled squid - dried fish - pickled daikon -seaweed - that stuff that looks like konnyaku with sesame kochujang dressing....ummm rice - lettuce .... and a cinnamon flavored roasted corn drink at "dessert" Tracey
