  1. ok ok so that dinner was an I'm sorry we didnt go away this weekend and I'm sorry you lost your job, dinner from my husband. Still hoping to go away Next weekend we came in with a bit of a budget...$100 made it out at $106 his...tuna sashimi with wasabi ginger and wakami(?) salad with sesame dressing medallions of beef with merlo sage and portabella mushrooms..glass of pino noir mine ...wild mushroom sausage puff brandie sauce creole shrimp and scallops with and..glass of pouille fume apps were Amazing I dont know what possesed me I dont even like mushrooms but it sounded good and was the steak was like buttah...but I think it was Rosemary not Sage creole sauce was damn tasty but peppers still had that raw green taste going to get my Mom gift certifacate for Christmas when we come back...you have them right? T

I havent flown all that much but it has included Al Italia in the early 80s it was ok Peoples Express mid 80s nice "stuffed sandwich" ( baked with opeing in one end of roll) turkey vinaigrett sprouts... but Cayman Air early 90s breakfast...GC to Kennedy swiss cheese omlette blueberry muffin fresh fruit sausage juice or rum punch...damn good tracey

  4. greetings all While I get most of my meat from either ...the guy on the phone from Da Bronx or the super market the guy on the phone is mostly skirt steak and that gets grilled and psuedo Mexicanized.... the best steak I ever made at home was in an apartment....no grill. A 2 rib cut of ribeye - standing rib - prime rib Seared in a cast iron pot on one side till crispy flipped covered with sliced onions and popped in a 450 degree oven till properly black and blue. enough talk lets eat tracey
  5. Greetings all just wanted to say I had never even heard of An American Grill until last week but everyone here seems to love it sooooo..... I reviewed it on Zagats. As soon as i find myself another cushy corporate feeding ( ya know 7-3 monday to friday) job I will head over for dinner tracey
  6. The first meal my husband cooked for me was a dish we had recently had by his choice at a Chinese reataurant. Since he had taken some Chinese cooking classes at the local night school. the dish was Black Bean Spare Ribs....they tasted exactly like they did at the restaurant....didnt like them there either. The only other dish he makes is chicken and muchrooms over noodles with jarred Alfredo sauce. Just because I went to culinary school he wont even try anymore. tracey
