I missed one: mushrooms. (and, of course, the normal things that you have: tomato sauce, cheese...)

I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of shrimp myself, but they are okay as one of the incredients (when they are not playing the main role). And these shrimp were not ruined by having been over-heated - were just about okay.

And blue cheese just about rules the whole world of cheese!!  :smile:

Edit: Yes, they were of the tiny shrimp variety... I wouldn't put the big ones on a pizza anyway, since they would steal the whole show...

Cold pizza for breakfast this morning, with mushrooms, green peppers, onions, olives, feta & mozzarella cheese, fresh garlic, diced tomatoes, spinach, sunflower seeds and topped with crispy shredded pepperoni.

Blue Heron, that sounds deelish!  I just had boring, healthy, Kashi!

I just had a flashback of a really baadddd but good thing we ate as kids--Peanut butter and bacon sandwiches on toasted bread.  It is an amazing combination.  I just don't think I could bring myself to eat it today unless it was all I ate for the entire day.

researchgal... you know, BACON is about the only thing I have heard of yet that I can actually imagine pairing up with peanut butter (that would taste good), especially on toast!   Is there anything that bacon doesn't go with?  :biggrin:

BH, come to think of it...you're right!  I can't really think of anything that doesn't go well with bacon.  Sounds like an ad for the bacon council :biggrin:

But, one thing I will say about bacon is, when it's good, it's really, really good and when it's bad, it's...ew

Cake batter.

Chocolate Chip cookie dough.

I don't understand why rappers have to hunch over while they stomp around the stage hollering.  It hurts my back to watch them. On the other hand, I've been thinking that perhaps I should start a rap group here at the Old Folks' Home.  Most of us already walk like that.

Blue Heron and Researchgal, you should have written the new book, Everything Tastes Better with Bacon, but Sara Perry did and it's just out. There are even dessert recipes including bacon brittle.

Reminded by the traditional Midsummer celebration, I have to say that one of the worst things that I eat must be grilled sausages with loads of hot mustard... :shock: Thankfully, it's a summer thing only...

Rahcel, I've got an even better "pigs in blanket" receipe. Try these for appetizers next time:

1 tube refrigerated cresent rolls

24 miniture smoked saugage links

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup chopped nuts (omit for allergies if necessary)

3 tablespoons honey

3 tablespoons brown sugar

Separate crescent rolls into triangles, cut each lengthwise into 3 triangles.

Place a sausage on the long end and roll up tightly. Set aside.

Lightly grease or spray with pam (ok ok, but it works!)

Combine the remaining ingredients in an 11x7x2 in baking ban. Arrange sausage rolls seam side down in butter mixture.

Bake uncovered at 400 for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

I know this is an ancient thread, but I'm new here and just found it.

Yodels...or Little Debbie Swiss Cake Rolls. But never HoHos. I find their creme too sugary and the chocolate coating too thick and waxy. Of course I have to nibble al the chocolate off first, then unroll the Yodel, lick off the creme and then eat the cake.

I also have a weakness for Cheese Doodles and the like (Jax, Cheetoes), but they must be the puffed kind, not the crunchier fried ones. I like they way the melt in my mouth, if not the way they turn my fingers orange. (I also like red pistachios for their finger dying properties).

And I'm fond of Gummi anything...which are only improved by having a sour coating.

I remember back in the 7th grade the most popular lunch (at least among my little group of cronies) was BBQ potato chips on buttered bagels.

And for the one brave soul who admitted to eating ravioli straight from the can, I used to do that too...but only the cheese filled kind which I cannot seem to find anymore.

Burger King's Rodeo Cheeseburger. Barbeque sauce and battered onion rings on the patty. Not even a pickle or a shred of lettuce to imply healthy eating. Man, they're good. That crisp texture.

Luckily, they are also small.

I eat worse than all of you. In fact, yesterday I ate Oriental-flavored Ramen noodles, a store-bought bagel (mmm. Lenders Onion), and WOW chips.

I have a Curry-Chicken-flavored Ramen package in the cupboard at home, but don't have the balls for this yet.

Noise is music. All else is food.
