Someone has posted in another forum about getting enough for one small session of tea from one tea bush after growing it for several years, or a few sessions from a single row of plants in their California back yard. 
 

I've never tried it, but one of these days I probably will, just because I like odd stuff in the garden.

It's just camelia, which I don't consider odd.  There's one in my backyard. I don't make tea with it, though ;)
