Melissa Clark's is good and popular. I like it - tastes do vary  https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/19/dining/chickpea-salad-recipe.html  She also wrote out a siimilar flavor profile when preggers and craving tuna but avoiding the  mercury content of tuna. http://lainesrecipebox.blogspot.com/2011/10/tofu-salad-with-sweet-pickles-and-spicy.html

I’m a big fan of this Moroccan one. I roll cut and parboil the carrots instead of shredding them and keeping them raw. Have to say though, this would be nobody’s idea of faux tuna salad.

I make chick pea salad WITH tuna! Chick peas, chopped tomato, canned tuna, red onion. A pantry meal that is especially good in summer when it's so hot and no one wants to cook. :)

Yes, I do too.  Or other beans with tuna certainly. Good canned tuna.

I question why one would call a chickpea salad a faux tuna salad? It's a chickpea salad, not faking anything.

My favorite chickpea salad:  rinsed can of chickpeas, grape tomatoes cut in half, green onions, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper, lots of parsley and a substantial  sprinkling of chili powder (the inexpensive grocery variety).

Darienne
