Patak pastes and " 3 step " packs

Ive been using Patak pastes for a long time.

 

they are easy to get in my area , and several Indian stores carry the full like.

I prefer the pastes to the simmer swauces

 

i noticed these the other day :

they contain a foil packet of paste , and a packet of whole spices.

 

has anyone tried them ?

 

I wonder if using the whole spices makes a big difference.

I have seen these too but haven't tried them.  They are available here in the mainstream grocery stores.  I do like the Patak products.

Not sure if you can get them in the US, but on the recommendation of an Indian family I know I tried some laziza spice blends recently. They are really excellent and much better than any other pre-made mixes or pastes that I’ve tried. 

 

Couple of examples below but there are loads to choose from. In the UK amazon sell them so might be worth checking amazon.com out.
