Hummus shortage hits the Brits

This arrived in my email box a short time ago. I vaguely recall catching something in the media about the hummus shortage  in Britain but paid little attention. Perhaps now I should go find out what it is all about.  How awful for the Brits. Imagine  first a zucchini shortage and now this. I can make fun of the Brits because I is one!

Well apparently the crisis was over almost before it began. Two major stores pulled hummus from their shelves after complaints of a metallic taste.  Apparently all is well and the hummus (or is that houmous?) is back on the shelves. Phew.

...and the world is once again safe for those incapable of whizzing chickpeas in a food processor.

For many British people, the only food processors they possess are their digestive system and a cell phone to call the nearest 'pizza', 'Chinese' or 'Indian' with delivery service.

 

I'm allowed to diss the British too, on account of what i am being one like, too.
