just seen this in the times, there may be more to it than meets the eye.

JBR & mrs are divorcing and whilst he's away on telly, she's closed it without his knowledge if the press are to be belived to fund the divorce settlement. seems an odd way to create value as a fully staffed operational restaurant is worth a lot more than a closed one with no staff.

Mmmm- I am not a fan of the programme, but I did see him leave the Jungle this weekend, which was apparently on Saturday. I and possibly his wife-also saw him mouth the words " I love you" on national telly to his new partner. The very next day, his estranged wife closes the restaurant. Pure coincidence?

I saw him going on about how the jungle had made him realise what the most important thing in the whole world was to him....

a) his friends?

b) the love of a good woman?

c) his children?

No, it was HIS COOKING !

marc cant be that bad least you have a population around you. We have turkey and tinsel and blue rinse at the moment and the only time this year when i have been fully staffed have i had so many phone calls from chefs and waiters looking for a job. sods law.

no we do have the population, it is the eating out scene that is grim and i think its getting worse, just when i hoped somewhere was looking promising the chef ran back to london sigh, we have no shortage of restaurants opening with huge budgets spent on the furnishings and imposing the must have bling element but sadly the investment and enthusiasm doesnt seem to pass through the kitchen doors. sorry il calm down ive just been to a million pound restaurant in liverpool where the food was disgusting

Let me know when you do, hubbie will actually come along with me to Southport if we have somewhere good to eat!- though be warned opening on Sundays means you will be serving every chef/foh on their night off!! We did Sunday nights for about 18 months, but now have them as a strictly family night!!

JBR back in the game..click

"Altogether he is aiming to have 21 staff. Anyone interested in working for him should contact the restaurant from next Tuesday."

How could any right minded person resist this tempting opportunity?

I'm sure "see you next Tuesday" is a phrase JBR hears regularly.
