No. What I shot the pic of I actually picked it up and looked at it. The bottle is colorless. So is the representative bottle of green EVOO from Giant next to it. Ive seen it in different stores and its always orangey.
-
Wouldnt the fact that the orangey oil was made with ripe olives then have a risk of being slightly off due to the fact that you cant ensure that some of the olives in the batch are not over ripe and rancid?

Im in a slight debate on another forum about the color of quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil. It started with this pic: http://i39.tinypic.com/6g8olx.jpg I say that Rachel Rays EVOO is not a good quality due to its ORANGEY color. My friend says that shes seen $80.00 EVOO that was orange in Cali. Me thinks there is something wrong with orange EVOO or at least a switcheroo is occurring. After all, olives are green and a first cold press would impart the green color into the fresh oil. What say you?

Okay, when I was little my mom used to make these 1970s style canapes. Triscuits, topped with Bacos and a little square of Velveeta under the broiler. Well, I dont know why but I bought some Bacos for reminiscing and when I opened the canister and tasted a few I was like, "OMG, its Beggin' Strips"! I know this isnt much of a post but I needed to share that.

http://tinyurl.com/c26lpw ^^can you fine cooks and chefs tell me what these are for? I have a huge pet peeve in watching cooking shows and seeing chefs/cooks use rubber spatulas to stir things in pots and pans. Rubber spatulas to ME are for scraping down bowls of batter or getting the last bits of mayo or peanut butter out of jars. They just seem awkward in stirring in pans, especially since the tip is so soft and wont get up crispy brown bits and things can burn. Is it just me?

Well, I feel dumb! When I saw this item: http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B0001BD...&pf_rd_i=489986 I thought it was a stick with a half oval blade on the bottom. When I ran it thru Google Translator it said this: OXO Good GURIPPUSU REDORU scale I thought it was a fish scaler. But its a plain old LADLE! Whats the scale mean? I cant believe I bought a ladle from Japan when I already have one.

Are you sure its 3 minutes? Ive seen places on the net say that you need to stir for an hour. And thats why people say they dont make it. -

Laura Ingalls-Wilder took Pa cold Vinegar-Ade in the fields when he was working. I think in the cookbook it was mentioned that when lemons were hard to come by they used apple cider vivegar. -
Yes, Mentaiko! I bought two boxes thinking Id LOVE it cause I love Cod Roe Spaghetti but when I went to taste it it was foul. Im not sure if it was the fact that that particular freeser at the Asian Mkt is always on the fritz and possibly it was bad Mentaiko or what, but it was nasty. Also is the Natto I buy. I try so hard to force myself to love or even like Natto.

Yeah but if you really want something you go for it, right? Plus, the 15% is more like a TIP in America... I wonder if I could get Unagi Pai, or Konnyaku Jelly Powders, or Bento Gear? They dont just work with Yahoo and Amazon Japan. You can order from any online Japanese store on the net.
