Ice cream.  Any kind.

Even pink bubble gum ice cream??!?

Did I mention that elsewhere? You're right. Not ANY kind....

Steak, rare, with some good bread to sop up stray juices. Maybe some garlic butter or something on the steak, maybe not.

Oooh. Steak.

What? Me? Iron-deficient? What makes you say that?

Perogies. Smothered in bacon and onions, with a big dollop of sour cream.

Can't get perogies in Japan, which makes me crave them more. Sigh.

Also craving tuna belly, which I CAN get here- got some bincho-toro in the fridge, minutes away from becoming negitoro-don!

veal

lamb

rabbit

kangaroo

It's 8:35 in the mornin', and I would absolutely love to tuck into a heavily marbled steak, black n' blue; little bit of crusty bread to mop up the juice with; and a good glass of cab sav. Actually, screw the glass - a good bottle. No sides - this is breakfast...

I'm making due with a Mocha Valencia and a Powerbar, but, man...

...I never should have looked into this thread :)

Thanks Kristen, I'll check it out the next time I'm in the area (which most likely won't be for months!!).

I went to National Azabu and Kinokuniya a few years ago. No perogies, everything was really expensive, and there really wasn't much that I couldn't get at my local import shops.

So I assumed that Nissin was the same- guess I've been missing out!

And MatthewB, Thanks alot! Now I'm craving pho too!!

Spicy, er SPICY, chili verde with fry bread.  Man. Yes.

Sounds awesome!! Do you make your own fry bread?

Of course!!! I'll have to ship some over to you, Xanthippe.

But the last fry bread I had was at the Pow-Wow in Cupertino a couple of weeks ago, greasy as hell, but it fit with the celebration.

Dude, I'd happily drive over the hill for fry bread any day of the week!!
