I've double checked a few time-to-temperature profiles of SousVideDash with needle probes in my food and they are pretty accurate. I don't use any other tool now. I teach sous-vide courses and it is what I always recommend.

the most important thing about SV is to keep track of what you do :

 

cut / time / temp  etc

 

each SV is an experiment.  focus on that.  after a while

 

you will know exactly what suits you w your own system
