Iron Chef Japan

Fuji TV has brought back Iron Chef beginning last October. From what I hear, reviews are mixed. I will give my own impressions if I can watch it somewhere.

New episodes or reruns? And, do they use the old music from the Backdraft soundtrack?

New episodes, new chefs, new music, new "nephew" of the old chairman. And a completely redesigned Kitchen Stadium. No subtitles, but the same focus on the cooking and ingredients.

That's awesome. I loved the original show, but can't stand the US version anymore. I would be thrilled to see some of those old ones again. I still snicker over the Oto faction (or whatever the group that wanted to destroy Morimoto was called).

Last week's episode featured Chef Hamada and was battle Kagoshima Beef. Chef Hamada's team just placed 3rd in the Bocuse d'Or.

His dessert was amazing. It was a Mont Blanc, but the inside was beef filet and foie gras.

Not sure if anyone has seen this or not, but is a very impressive archive of past Iron Chef episodes, I'd say well over 200. Also, the guy is on top of the new ones.

Glad you like it, there's more then enough to keep one busy, was downloading for days when I first discovered this site. Glad its out, I've stopped recording iron chef america, just got tired of it.
