Good Sit-down restaurants in Pittsburgh

My son is probably going to go to Pitt and we are going on a reconnaissance mission soon. What are the good places to eat in town? Nearer to Pitt the better.

Sorry....I went to Pitt too many years ago that all of restaurants must have changed or are different.......makes me sad!

Though there is the "almost famous Primanti Brothers restaurants". I remember going to the original in the early '70s. So much fun and interesting things to eat. I have moved on since then....but have fond memories!

I haven't been to Pittsburgh in a couple of years but I thought our dinner at Le Pommier, in Southside, was superb. Lydia's, not so good.
