Just curious...how are the prices at Kyoto? Do they do any lunch specials? I have a few friends who balk at having sushi too often because of the cost.

But keep in mind we ordered a lot. An individual sushi & sashimi platter was probably around $15 (anyone take a menu?). And this place also features habachi (we actually sat at a habachi table, although we didn't order any).

yes, 35 dollars included an enormous amount of food and variety. judging by how packed the place was at lunch, i can't imagine that it isn't impossible to get out of there for less than 20 dollars, especially at lunch.

That actually sounds pretty reasonable to me...'tho nothing beats Nori's lunch specials, but you are restricted to two rolls with the gyoza or shumai. Regardless, it sounds like I'll have to check out Kyoto. Thanks!
