Reviving this ancient discussion...

Bacon jumped the proverbial shark a long time ago.

Now Oscar Meyer is offering bacon-scented shoelaces.

The thing about these shoelaces is they're too far away from my nose.

Why not make a bacon-scented necktie or hat or necklace? At least those are near your head where you can enjoy the bacon aroma. 

The marketers missed the mark on this one.

I was going to say, given the puppy's predeliction for shoelaces (and entire shoes), I don't want any of these in MY house.

Bacon gimmicks jump the shark as soon as they are produced.  REAL bacon will never jump the shark.
