Hi all,

Anyone know whether Restaurant Magazine is available to those outside of the catering business. From what people say about it on here, it seems a good read, but i looked into it on their website, seemed an industry only publication.

Cheers me dears,

Anyone can subscribe. Previously you could subscribe over the phone but I suspect that now the wesbite is up and running this has changed to an online process. You can also buy it from larger newsagents.

The magazine is widely available.

Editor Joe Warwick is stepping down very soon by the way. No idea who the new incumbent will be.

Shame to hear Joe's leaving, he really turned the mag around by realising chefs like being treated as rock stars and made it a sort of GQ magazine to flatter them.

Very mildly

Going off topic here did you see the slagging he gave restaurant critics the other week, I think it may have been in a Sunday magazine? He had some brass neck that's for sure, given his own attempts.

Just to tie up this loose thread, Paul Wootton has now taken over as editor. He was previously ed at Class, "the magazine of bar culture".
