It was in the news this morning: "Heinz Is Threatening to Release 'Mayochup' Nationwide and the Internet Is Torn" Their name for it sucks and is completely uncreative. I preferred some of the names posted in Twitter mentioned in the article. So is this new bastard condiment a sign of the impending Apocalypse?

I'm swooning over your beautiful egg yolks with no green ring. Were they done in the Instant Pot?
-
I'm with you, @Kim Shook. I can't stand crispy crunchy green beans. Green beans should be simmered all day long with some chopped up bacon or fatback in salted water (not too much...the bacon is salty) until they're a tired, dull, limpy green-ish color. Now that's how you cook green beans.

A little off-script here...no cookbooks but food-related books. I started going down various rabbit holes once I got into these food-related genres and had to stop...I lost track of time! I also agree with @DiggingDogFarm about the plate. At first glance it's difficult to discern what is plate design and what is the dish you cooked. A white plate would visually simplify the photo. And if all else fails, you can always post the picture in the "Dinner II: The Gallery of Regrettable Foods (Part 2)" discussion.

Thanks for the info...it gives me a starting point, at least. Maybe add a hard sauce made with Applejack or Calvados and make it Apple5 Pie?
-
Before Granny Smiths took over the produce section of most grocery stores, there were Pippin apples which are much more of a tart apple. They're harder to find these days. Like you said about the Granny Smiths, my mom used to use the Pippins because the tartness counterbalanced the sugar in the recipe. To this day I can't stand overly-sweet-tasting apple pies. This sounds like it would be either awesome or a train wreck. Can you provide more info about your Apple Apple Apple Apple Pie recipe? Apple4 Pie recipe? Apple x 4 Pie recipe?

I am personally against the Oreo Thins. I mean, it's less Oreos but for about the same price, right? Just doesn't make sense to me. It's like those new candy bars where the maker has created "air bubbles" in the candy for a "lighter" bar. Oh, you mean you're using less chocolate yet charging me the same price as the old version of your candy bar? It ain't right, man.

The fries surprised me since they were much better tasting than I expected. The seasonings did make a difference. I can say, IMHO, that they are much better french fries than any french fry I've ever received from Burger King, who should be ashamed to call those tasteless, dry sticks they sell to their customers "french fries".
-
WTF, Dude! You introduce Taco Bell french fries back in January and now yo're taking them off the menu? That ain't right... "Taco Bell Is Taking Nacho Fries off the Menu (But They'll Be Back)" According to the article, the fries were an even bigger success than the Doritos Loco Tacos. And that's saying something... Anyone want to take an educated or non-educated guess as to why they're removing such a successful item off their menu?
