"Food52 Genius Recipes: 100 Recipes That Will Change the Way You Cook (Food52 Works)" Kindle Edition $2.99US Use the "Look Inside" feature to see the list of recipes. Slightly more expensive than regular sale-priced cookbooks: "Be the BBQ Pitmaster: A Regional Smoker Cookbook Celebrating America's Best Barbecue" Kindle Edition $3.90US Use the "Look Inside" feature to see the list of recipes. Slightly more expensive... Needless to say, let the buyer beware. No list of recipes, but using the "Look Inside" feature, you can see the recipes start right away in the book. After December's poor showing of sale-priced books (with Pepin being the exception) January should bring a new listing of sale-priced cookbooks. I will post any i find of interest in a few days. Have you heard Ina Garten's juicer on her Food Network TV series? As loud as a cement truck at full rotation. And you just know it has to be one of those expensive ones so why is it so noisy? So you're in good company. And I am envious of your tangerine juice...it looks wonderful.
  5. A recent post in the Dinner thread by @Anna N got me thinking about this sale-priced cookbook that has been floating around Amazon, un-posted until now: Chef Tadashi Ono and food journalist Harris Salat's "Japanese Hot Pots: Comforting One-Pot Meals" Kindle Edition $1.99US Use the "Look Inside" feature to see the list of recipes. Well-reviewed in general. I am a US Prime member and the price you see may vary.
  6. 8. Since my mom passed earlier this year, Christmas was at my brother and sister-in-law's. We all prefer gift cards but my s-i-l insisted on continuing one of my mom's traditions which meant everyone had to have something to open from under the Christmas tree. I got this "X-Chef Silicone Pastry Brushes - Set of 4". I bought it myself and gave it to my brother to wrap. Nice way to get what you want on Christmas.
  9. Some sale items from my BookBub and just by nosing around: Chef Larry Edwards' "Style and Spice: Over 200 Recipes from the American Southwest" Kindle Edition $1.99US Finally, a cookbook with a list of recipes. 17. The first recall I am posting regarding prepared salads is a new recall: "Recall issued for pre-packaged salads" The article lists the specific products being recalled. Though at this point...the salad has passed its "Best Before" date so if you still have it in your refrigerator, you're not going to eat that, are you? The second recall in the news is regarding the recent romaine lettuce recall. A farm which may have been a source of the contaminated lettuce has issued a wider recall of its produce: "The Farm Connected To The Romaine E.Coli Outbreak Is Now Recalling Its Cauliflower"
