  1. it’s my understanding prawns are much larger than shrimp. These look like baby shrimp, not prawns.
  2. I’ve ordered cheese steaks from Pat’s in Philadelphia via Goldbelly. They heated up fairly well. But, to some that’s not a sandwich. So maybe be more specific about what you’re looking for?

    Oysters: The Topic

Perfect meal for me but I prefer smaller, sweeter west coast oysters.
  4. I am seriously jealous. I’d be eating chargrilled oysters non stop.
  5. I really want to go. I also really am not interested in taking the train to Manhattan, it’s unreliable and exhausting. If I could find an open reservation on Resy when nothing major is happening in Manhattan, I’d jump on it and take car service. Would even be fine dining solo.

    Dinner 2023

My birthday is St. Patrick’s day and I really can’t stand the typical corned beef and cabbage. This looks amazing— I’d just sub the tartar sauce for malt vinegar. Having people try to push food for a holiday that happens to be your birthday is the worst when you don’t like it. My parents got complaints for years because they didn’t name me Meghan. My name has Welsh origins close enough! 😂🙄
  7. So incredibly sad— her contributions were amazing. RIP.

    Lunch 2023

@Kim Shook Lipton’s noodle soup is an absolute comfort food for me. I remember when they made “giggle noodle soup”. I wish it wasn’t discontinued. Now I want to make Lipton’s soup and it’s verging on Friday during lent. I suppose I’ve done worse things.
  9. That has to be super frustrating! However Jessica is a great cook, no? She knows what is healthy and what isn’t. Zero offense meant because it is extremely frustrating to be dismissed. My experience in the hospital, food-wise was great. I’d pick out my daily menu the night prior and if I didn’t like the meals they scheduled I could always order an omelet or grilled cheese or a burger or a pizza or Caesar salad. I also drank a ton of water, something I continue to do to this day.

    Dinner 2023

Ok fine I get it you all are conspiring to boast about beans. 🤣
  11. I guess I think a pizza is dough and marinara and mozzarella with a few seasonings. A pizza with potatoes? Like can I have some carbs and some more carbs? How is that attractive? Let’s just throw anything on pizza crust and call it a pizza. Fair enough I suppose but that wouldn’t fly in Northern NJ and with good reason.

    Breakfast 2023

Can any spam fans compare it to Taylor Ham?
  13. Agreed. Like leave the man his dignity, he’s passed away. I think anyone would hate this type of personal information brought forward. Have some respect.
  14. Wait his wife contributed? I didn’t know that. They were still married but separated when he died. Maybe his wife wanted to give her truth? All the information about HGH and prostitutes doesn’t sit well with me. Apparently HGH is a thing with men who can’t accept aging. I dated a guy who tried to spin it as being healthy. I was like um, I’m a huge baseball fan, I know what HGH is and that’s fucked up.
  15. honestly the noise from the truck is minimal. I sort of get people complaining about the trucks, as they tend to loiter and are acting as adverisements. I only learned about the service because I kept seeing the trucks. But people will of course complain about anything. I think my next order via Wonfer will be for a pizza from Di Fara.
  16. Oh and I like Bobby’s steak sauce. It came in a bottle (not to give back) with all of the ingredients listed which I also appreciate.
  17. I just received a reminder to put the (warming) bag outside with the dishes. Maisey and I are hanging out on my small deck. I’m curious to see if the person who picks up my bag of dishes is the same who delivered the food. Currently, in my area, Bobby Flay’s is the only restaurant out of 21 who provides dishes. The others deliver food in recyclable materials. IMO this first experience is essentially having room service from a high end restaurant at my apartment. It’s definitely not for everyone nor is it something anyone would use daily (they currently only do dinner) but it was an overall positive experience. I expected the steak to be over cooked and cold and it was neither. I have ordered an embarrassing amount of Doordash etc and this was much better than anything I’ve had delivered via the usual apps.
  18. Honestly I was surprised at how good the meal was. It was hot, my steak was cooked perfectly. Yes the fees are outrageous IMO. I asked to go inside the truck with the promise I wouldn’t take pictures and it was really impressive; the truck was specifically designed to take orders for Bobby Flay’s Steakhouse. It was immaculate and their SV, prep and grill stations in this Mercedes van that doesn’t require a CDL (I asked) was surprising. It’s not a tipping situation (yet) and I was given a free order of freshly made potato chips with a spicy aioli. It was weird to dump dirty plates into a bag but I’ve done much worse. They didn’t include silverware. I think they should have. I also think if they include wine and or mixed beverages they have potential. A lot of people don’t want to go out right now and this was a restaurant quality dinner and I had it on my couch in sweats without having to do a thing.
  19. Haha no. And I didn’t use it I was curious how it would be delivered. In packets. Meh. However the food was really good. Shockingly so. I’ll update more soon.
  20. i agree he doesn’t need positive reinforcement. However I absolutely think in order to have a staff that is hardworking and loyal, you have to treat people well. I have worked in high end restaurants all over northern NJ and can tell you I worked much harder when I was valued. As the daughter of a business owner who’s company is now in its 46th year of business and thrived throughout Covid, I saw how my father respects and values his employees and the fiscal rewards from doing so. I have a bachelors degree in Hospitality Management from a well regarded school and have worked for some genuine assholes. And been sexually harassed, had dishes thrown at me, the usual garbage. I was lucky enough to have worked for some really great people and I’d go to bat for them, and have paid it back in spades having had everything from my wedding to multiple repasts at their establishment.
  21. It’s actually all horrific when you think about it. The author was given access to his phone and computer and is making all that private information public. I told my best friend to “throw everything out and hire people to do it” should I die suddenly. No one should have access to anyones private thoughts.
  22. Cute how a $18 meal is $29 with their fees. I’m absolutely going to ask to see the inside of the truck.
  23. Well look at those fees 🙄. I have 20% off flyer that came in the mail. Today is the anniversary of my brother’s death so I’m not worried about the cost. I just find it very disingenuous.
  24. I think I’m going to bite the bullet and order from Wonder today. I’m going to try Bobby Flay’s Steakhouse. It comes with China and silverware which is an interesting concept. Apparently I can throw the used placewear in a bag that should be provided to me and leave it outside my door for no extra fee. Granted the cost of the meal won’t be cheap but I can’t finish even an 8oz steak so I am absolutely ordering the from the “kids menu” and getting a 4 oz filet. I’ll report back.
