Apparently mine is waiting in my mailbox; I didn’t make out to get my mail yesterday. i assume you put it on over your head, correct?

Those taffy cookies used to be my go-to when I packed a lunch for work many years ago. I haven't bought commercially produced cookies in a very long time. Now I either bake my own, buy Schwan's cookie dough or go for the bakery cookies. i do remember those taffy cookies were pretty good in their day. Too bad now.

YES! I want pockets in everything.

My Mom always wore a half-apron, the kind that tied at the waist. I used to love to tease her by sneaking up behind her when she was at the sink and pulling the strings....God, she was patient.

Yours are really beautiful to look at though.

The Zo I have is the induction model and it's never not made the best rice I've ever had. I used it yesterday morning to make steel cut oatmeal, which is does equally well (and I don't even like porridge...I only eat it because it's healthy).

Pizza dough is resting in my Zo breadmachine getting ready for pizza margherita.

No. It was pretty unremarkable.

Sliced and into the freezer.

Thanks for the recommendation, I just ordered mine!

I can't seem to find an apron that is comfortable (no strap around the neck). I have several but none that I really like. Also they just seem to make me look big-as-a-house.

Took the loaf out and it looks great. Too hot to slice and it’s late so will have to wait til morning.

Took the dough out this morning and placed it in my proofer at 72 degrees F. before I went to town for chemo. Just now I dumped it out and shaped it and put it in the pan, Will let it rise again for about an hour or so then, hopefully, it will be ready to bake. So far it looks really good. It's back in the proofer at 76F until ready to bake, Soon, I hope. Now I’m hoping I put in enough salt!

I have a Zo bread machine and the non-stick pan is like new even though it gets used a lot and is over 10 years old. Zo products are made to last.

I couldn’t have buggered up this recipe more if I had tried. I was working with a halved recipe and mixed up the ingredients between full and half. Stupido! i kept adding more flour to the dough (before I realized my mistake). The resulting dough is ripening in the garage fridge until tomorrow when I’ll know whether it’s a total bust. Nevertheless, if this is a total fail, I'll try again another day.

Rice is so cheap that I don’t worry about making more than I need. I can save the extra or toss it without pangs.
-
Thanks, I will definitely use the levain!

I'd love to make a loaf of that bread. is there a recipe I could follow?

My Zo is more than ten years old, it’s the induction model. I've used it a lot and the inner pot is still like new. Mind you, I do not abuse it and hand wash it but unless there’s an earthquake here I don’t think I’ll ever have to replace it, I love this rice maker and would buy another Zo if anything happened to mine.

There's a mountain of sourdough knowledge at KAF, I highly recommend it..
-
I would use it to chill my beer and my cocktails. But I won't pay $100 for it.
-
Yes, I can see that happening.

That is a lovely looking loaf! Is that the 13” pan?

What a lovely celebration...Happy Birthday!
