  1. You will be forever grateful to us for enabling your purchase.
  2. Last night I made steelhead filets over broccoli and red pepper served over tice (made in the Zo). Fish was perfectly done as were the veg.
  3. My big find was big elastic bands to hold trash bas in place: here. (eG-friendly Amazon.com link) (Link is now fixed)
  4. Nice to see you here again, it's been a while.
  5. Maybe we used different types. Mine was Basmati.
  6. My weekend plans changed so I didn't get to make my salmon and rice. Last night I made it and it turned out good for the salmon (although I didn't use the pesto) but the rice was too dry. Next time I'll follow the directions on the bag instead of the recipe for the amount of water to use. Rice was good enough that I'll make another pot of it tonight and try again.
  7. I've never had these; I've never been in an IKEA store. But I hear good things about them and I feel I need to get with it. Anyone here tried the recipe? Recipe.
  8. My plan for tonight is to make this Speedi recipe: here. Will be cooking both the starch and the protein together. Should be a good test.
  9. I steamed some sliced red potatoes and broccoli spears Wednesday night in the Speedi. Flavoreed with only the Himalayan salt. Very tasty.

    Steamed burger

According to a recent article in CI these may be superior to grilled. Simple to do. A few ingredients: 85% lean, soy sauce, onion powder, S&P and cheese. Heresy? Someone needs to take one for the team.
  11. I got my Speedi a few days ago. First dish I made was simple bone-in chicken thighs. I used a chicken rub purchased from our nearby Amish market. The chicken was wonderful! Cooked to perfection. I'm keeping this.
  12. I've been seeing a lot of recipes lately suggesting this as the best seasoning ever. McCormick (eG-friendly Amazon.com link) Amazon reviewers mostly give it 5 starts. Of course I had to try it. Arrived today.
  13. I admit to having had a Tupperware addiction somewhere in the eighties. We had a woman at work who'd hold parties there. I ended up with lots of it. Over the years and with a couple of moves involved I shed a lot of the less useful items. However, I found after my last moved that I really missed some of those pieces and discovered that they are still available through Amazon. Tupperware They're certainly not cheap.
  14. I've never been entirely happy with any of my bread recipes that were baked in the machine. I much prefer to use the dough setting and bake in n the oven.

    Dinner 2023

Giant enabler alert! I have one of these in my cart.
  16. I was surprised at the price of Everclear when I shopped for it around the holidays. IIRC it was in the neighborhood of $35 for a 1.75 liter bottle.
  17. Smirnoff is pretty much my 'eveerday' vodka. It's reasonably priced at state-owned liquor stores. My elevated choice is Absolut.
  18. Those are some great prices!
  19. May not be the right size for you but I use paper towel cores.
  20. I don't mind. It's just been a while now and I'm all fished up. I'd like something different. My one complaint with them, however, would be the odd cuts of the fish. Not presentation worthy.
  21. I just placed my first order with Wild Fork (having terminated my Wild Alaska subscription). Because of my location, the shipping is a bit steep, so this will be a good test to see if it's a viable option for me in the future. Their stuff really looks good.
  22. Too late or too much Smirnoff?

    Dinner 2023

I made this recipe from ATK's website night before last. While it was good, I found it a bit bland. With plenty of leftovers to work with last night I added another recipe's worth of the sauce as well as a couple big tablespoons of chili garlic sauce(there were lots of noodles to work with). Really much better the second time around and I'll make the recipe again now. (I do like quite a bit of spice.)
  24. In parts of the West it's Fred Meyer.
