Shaved Brussels sprouts salad with Parmesan and grilled strip steak with turnips. Steak was done medium rare even though the photo does not show it very well. Eating outdoors, it's getting darker

Your cast iron skillet is lovely. It looks old and well seasoned.

Eating by myself tonight, can cook what I want. Congee with a little bit of chicken, soy sauce, Lao gan ma, sautéed red onions. Have some saved for breakfast!

@liuzhou thank you so much for sharing. My son and his wife (she is Chinese/Mongolian) are now in China visiting her family. They send me photos like this: So very jealous of you and them having access to such amazing meals and celebrations.

Made ice tea with mixture of green tea and min tea. Perfect for sunny warm days that we are enjoying this weekend on Chesapeake bay. Cuts back on my temptation to drink rose wine all day!

Grilled Italian sausages with new potatoes steam roasted and finished by pan sautéing in bacon fat. DH must have Stadium Mustard, he mail orders it from Cleveland.

I did not cook today's breakfast either. Breakfast sandwiches. Scrapple for me and sausage for my husband. Cream cheese stuffed jalapeño poppers to share. Don't judge me scrapple haters . Chesapeake grill in North Beach MD does scrapple right: crispy on the outside and soft inside. And we had company.

I have CSB in my condo and beach house, one spare one in storage just in case. It works great. Willing to be open minded about Anova but CSO works great.

Lovely local asparagus from Chesapeake Bounty store in North Beach, MD with finely chopped cold cuts rescued from (too many) sandwiches catered for an office lunch.
