Recently, I had an interesting pizza at Ned's Pizza in Milwaukee - The Hawaiian Pizza- with candian bacon and pineapple. Surprisingly, it was very good...

I like both. The only drawback, for me, in re to deep dish is that you arent able to eat as many pieces as eating a thin crust pizza. Gino's, Uno's, Malnatis, Pizzano's and sometimes Edwardos have very good to excellent deep dish...

I picked some of this bacon up over the weekend - they now have a kiosk @ Mayfair Mall. It is really very good bacon...better than Niman and probably better than Whole Foods bacon. It has a deep smoky flavor and the slices are quite large... http://www.nueske.com/smoked_bacon.html

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to post tonight on this thread because I havent posted in a while... The last part of this thread I talked about a few meals I had @ Charlie Trotters with my Mother and the wonderful times that we had. It especially means so much to me now because my Mom passed away this Wednesday night. Looking at the pics on this thread and the nice things people mentioned about my Mother means a lot more to me now. And I thank you.

I love Wheat Berries. I get them @ Trotters to Go quite regularly - I wouldnt know where else to find them...He often serves them mixed with shredded duck confit and usually dried fruits. Its awesome! His current wheat berry offereing is: Organic Soft Wheat Berries with Fruit and Roasted Nuts

I can sort of see where your coming from but the thing with Mr Beef is that it grows on you, it tempts you - haunts you in your dreams to come back. Once you've had a few sandwiches under your belt you will start to crave their beef and its special blend of seasonings. Im not saying that its the best sandwich in the world. But its close!

Quajalote and I ate at Mr. Beef today for lunch with the rest of my family. I had the combo of Chicago Italian Beef and Italian sausage in the same roll! You wouldnt think it would have worked but it did. Awesome as usual. My nephew ate his huge beef sandwich in about 2 minutes. Pretty good for 13 years old. Hey Deano, howd you like Mr Beef?

Ive deviated from crackers the past year or so. I now favor using homemade blini for serving with smoked salmon and caviar etc...I find the soft texture of blini provides an elegant touch in complementing fine foods as opposed to the crunch of a Carrs cracker I dont normally serve cheese...

I bumped into John Malkovich going into Gibsons on Friday night (not really bumping - although he was right in front of me checking in with the hostess) and thought that he would be a really great dinner guest!

I think that McDonalds fries are still good...Some McDonalds are better than others but in general, as long as the fries are hot I still like them...
