Happy Birthday Moe!!!! Your meal looks so good--as always, @Ann_T @Paul BacinoLove your fried fish. I'm trying to remember if I've ever had paddlefish. Seems that I have once... All the mushroom dishes have me wishing I could get more exotic kinds around here. I usually can smell the morel mushrooms growing and search them out, but I haven't this year. It's been colder than normal...maybe they are just late. Just came in from the garden. Weeded and finally got the corn planted. Yeah. It's late, but it'll be fine. Everything looks pretty good knock on wood. Ronnie has been fishing a lot. Catching tons of catfish and bass, but no walleye--one of our favorites. None that are long enough to keep anyway. So, we've been eating a ton of fish. This is bass with scalloped potatoes, salad and garden asparagus. Found some wings on Imperfect Foods. 3.99 lb. Yeah. Pricey. But, we couldn't find them around here. So, I did a mishmash of Korean..Asian-ish wings, drunken noodles and bok choi from the garden. Lamb stew on a chilly night. I put parsnips in the stew two times ago and Ronnie raved about it, so I did it again the time before this. He claimed he didn't like them in there that time --arrrrrgh. So, this was parsnip-less stew lol. Sandwiches with lettuce and tomato from the garden. Four because I made two for Ronnie to take for him and his buddy fishing the next day. Took a couple big bags of catfish over to my cleaning angel friend and she gave me 5 containers of her garden strawberries in return! HEAVENLY!!! I have eaten my weight in them. Still have some to use.....she freezes hers. Might do that for a treat this winter..... Her kids--adorable kids btw--picked them for me and were so excited that I was excited. Made a white cake...I could just eat this for days lol. More fish with asparagus salad. And finally last night venison taco salads, stuffed peppers that fell apart and ceviche made from bass.

I know nothing about British food and I admit I thought mushy peas were just regular peas mushed up 🤣. I've done a google and I was deeply mistaken.
-
Nooooo. I'm sure that was a melty Swiss or something similar with a bit of thousand island dressing.

I'm missing crawfish!!! I need to order some...it's almost too late I bet. My mom and step dad--he's very Cajun--I think have had two boils now. They get 10 lb bags of live delivered--I think it's 10 lbs maybe more. I like all things in the boil. Onions, corn, potatoes of course. Hot dogs and or sausages.....I think I'd like pineapple but my step dad and Ronnie would probably faint over that. I've seen fresh artichokes. That sounds good. I've also read of people putting a whole ham in after the boil and letting it sit in there overnight. We make it super spicy. Mom makes potato salad out of leftovers. We peel any leftovers and fry them. And yeah no silverware :) Loving this.

I'm sorry! I meant to respond. My mind is in a million places right now. A lot has been going on. I am pretty sure I've never done fries in the air fryer. It's too easy for me to just do them in oil. I should air fry them for health reasons, but Ronnie loves his fries so much that until I have to, I'll stick with. Also, the basket is so dang small.....BUT for one person it's perfect. For us--Ronnie eats a lot of fries--it would take forever.

Did you omit the corn picture in homage to @liuzhou Beautiful tart. Also impressed you can find wings. None to be had around here.

I'm so rural that I'm sure there are no Imperfect drivers. So, yeah, always Fedex. I prefer UPS but I have no control over that lol.
-
Never mind. Got ahold of a very nice person using the chat method. Refund has happened. All good now . I've had such good customer service at both Imperfect and Misfits.
-
Has anyone had a box from Imperfect Foods not delivered because it was deemed "unable to deliver--package damaged" by Fedex I was supposed to get my box yesterday. Got notified by Fedex and I immediately sent a message to Imperfect asking what the next steps were---refund or what. Haven't gotten a response beyond the automated email that told me they got my message. I realize it's the weekend, but Misfits is really good about answering right away....... At first my charge said it was pending so I was thinking they were going to refund me, but now my credit card has been charged.

THAT is exciting!

I'd think with all the smart people out there that it would happen. Again, the potato chips were SO good...but that's how much of a pain it was. I've only made them once.
-
Ditto. Homemade potato chips are KILLER made in the air fryer, but even for just Ronnie and I, it took forever because the batches were so small. I think I toyed with making chips when our hunter friend was here and nixed the idea because it would have taken hours lol.

@kaybYour garden looks stunning! We are way behind. Weather was cold thus ground temp was slow to rise. Then it rained forever. Getting some radishes. Some don't seem to be sprouting. I suspect dog paws and the rain had parts in this. Lettuce and collards are great as is the asparagus. Planted 300 onions that look excellent--yellow, white and purple. Planted a ton of russet and Yukon gold potatoes as well. I'm very excited and hope those produce. Decided not to plant any green beans. I still have a ton that I canned last summer. The bok choi is MUCH better than last year. I'll be picking that soon. Can't wait. Oh and the okra is coming up. Squash looks ok--jury still out. May need to buy some plants. Need to get to the nursery and get some eggplant --don't know why, they never grow lol. Pumpkin plants are in. This morning we planted sixty tomato plants--early girl, 4th of July, beefsteak and some cherry. I'm going to need a nap lol. Had to get them in because it's supposed to rain again tomorrow sigh. OH and the horseradish. If I'm understanding correctly you aren't supposed to pick it--dig it--the first year. I think we are in trouble where we planted it. It seems to be going crazy and it's near the asparagus. I have no idea how to harvest etc. but I'm looking forward to sinus blowing horseradish in the future. Any tips are welcome. Our farmer is so kind and is going to give us a huge round bale again this year for weed prevention. OH and I need to plant corn but my back is telling me that needs to wait.....maybe I can get it in before the rain, if not then it'll be ok to wait until next week.

I'm just now thumbing through this book --I'm laughing very hard. He's describing different types of bread and what he uses them for. When he gets to sourdough he simply says that it "can go f*** itself" 🤣

Thank you! I've been looking at a recipe that like a greek salad only with quinoa....I have a feeling that I want something with a LOT of flavor to go with it. Not sure Ronnie will like it.
-
I think the hub that you get your order out of must realllllly suck. My stuff is a God send--and it is for my mom too. I don't mind the odd sized items at all.......but I've seen your stuff be almost rotten or rotten.
-
I don't think I've ever eaten quinoa........
-
I gotta start eating more beans. And quinoa.

Imperfect Misfits has morphed again and they now even more like Imperfect. They are offering meat and seafood now. But, I'm confused. I read the statement like a million times and I swear it says that any meat and seafood that you order are included in my $30 minimum. But, I hit my minimum and included an order of fish and later I got an email saying my order was still unfinished meaning I had to also hit the $30 minimum on just the meat order meaning it would have been a total of sixty dollars.....So, I took the fish out of my cart and just stuck with the fruits and veggies. I am going to email them later for clarification.
