It's coooooold here and we got an inch of snow this morning (all melted now though). Your husband wouldn't be a happy camper here today lol. I just got my potato and onion sets from Burpee (even though I ordered right after Christmas they are a month late due to the flood of people buying for their gardens apparently due to pandemic). Won't be able to get into the ground for a few days. And another hard freeze tonight will wipe out our lilacs and plum bushes sigh. I've spent time worrying that you don't have a potato masher in the PrincessMobile.......

First asparagus of the season! Some of it is short because we have a rabbit situation. A certain bunny is going around eating just the tops of it so I'm trying to pick it before he gets to it. Roasted chicken and pasta to go with.

Well, I'm bummed and mystified. A week or so ago I started another jar of sauerkraut using Vivian Howard's recipe from This Will Make It Taste Good. I've made it once before and it turned out wonderfully. Looked at it today and it's beginning to mold . I can't think of anything that I did differently. I sterilized the jar in the dishwasher but maybe a bad guy was still lurking.......

Sunday is usually some iteration of chicken around here but now I want pizza!

Venison taco salads The rice was part of a care package that @suzilightningsent me a long while ago. Flavors of Rice-A-Roni that I don't see around here. I got such a kick out of it when I opened the package. I had no idea --I had mentioned somewhere around here that I couldn't find Spanish and Mexican style and she saw it. I still have a couple precious boxes left. We miss you Suzi! Had some frozen oysters, fish and crab that needed to be used so oysters and seafood chowder last night.

I wish I had gotten more, I did get two so I have one for next time. But, yes, it's good! Edit, and YES...I'm saving the picture of the can on my phone so hopefully I can find it next time I go.

Nice looking salad @btbyrd You, too, @Kim Shook. Tea salad, salmon and noodles the other night And last night I finally made a Banh Mi that Ronnie liked. Pork belly. And my beloved shishito peppers :)

And we have a SUCCESS! I quickly ran in to the Asian Market a few days ago --it was very busy and sadly, a ton of their coolers\freezers were broken so NO pork belly and hardly any meats. BUT, I snagged 4 banh mi breads for $1 and right next to the breads I found pork liver pate. Well, that cinched it. I had pork belly in the freezer so I thought I'd try one more time to make Ronnie like this lol. I'm no pate expert. This was like $2 something a can. But, I love it. Someone, somewhere around here told me to not skip the pate, and they were right. Pate, a mix of mayo and Sriracha, and pork belly that marinated overnight in fish sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, jalapeños, garlic and oil. Pickled carrots and radishes and cilantro on top I'm sad I only made enough pork for one sandwich for us to split --I want more!

I was going to say it looks more like celeriac.....

UGH on the hail. We still have damage on the front of our house from not very big hail, but the wind was a zillion miles an hour. However, when the insurance adjustor came out his exact words were "hail doesn't cause paint damage" 🙄 Um....okaaaaay. Your salad looks delicious. I'm wondering around the kitchen as we speak trying to think of something for dinner. Sigh. Hope your husband feels better ASAP.

Fries, hot wings and salad night before last It was chilly yesterday and we had to run into the big city TWICE so I prepped a lamb stew in-between trips and then threw it in the IP when we finally got home.
