Thanks Anna. Every single person that I've had contact with goes out of their way to be kind and also they tell me how much they appreciate me. I kind of get the impression that some customers are not so .......how should I put it.....calm and or maybe respectful. I used to deal with unhappy customers--even when they really had no reason to be--so maybe that plays into it lol.

Cheaper on some counts. Definitely helps prevent waste. I can't order produce and get it delivered from Walmart or anyone else for that matter. Even before pandemic I wished for a place like this. But now especially...it keeps us away from people. I guess it is in the eye of the beholder...... I try to post the positives along with the negatives. Maybe I'm not doing a good job of accentuating the good things.

NICE! I hope this happens to me soon.

No, it doesn't slide off at all. I take the SV'd chicken out of the bag and place in a bowl of buttermilk mixed with an egg--if I'm low on eggs, I'll skip the egg. Then I dump some AP flour in a large ziplock along with Lawry's salt and a good amount of black pepper. Mix that up. Take chicken pieces out of buttermilk, drop in the bag. Zip it up. Shake. Heat up the shallow oil. Fry.

Me again. Imperfect This didn't go well. The box shipped on June 3oth and didn't arrive until July sixth. Everything was very warm, of course. Wasn't even going to open the turkey. I'll eat a lot of things ....but no, not doing that. I had sent them an email on Saturday the 3rd--that's when the box was supposed to arrive--to give them a heads up that I was sure something was wrong. Fedex sent me a notification that the box would be here on Sunday--which was also July 4th. No way was that going to happen, and it didn't. Anyway, I got a refund for the shipping, plus the turkey. I should have also sent a picture of the strawberries. I didn't open them up before I sent the email and I thought they were ok. They weren't. Slimy and brown. Ick. Anyway, again, excellent customer service. Very kind people. I am not going to order any meat products again from them until it's cooler--like this fall. This was Fridays Imperfect delivery. I don't know if it's because they changed my ordering time and date or if it's because of the problem the week before, but I got my box a day early. All good here. The peaches are excellent. I've placed a Misfits order for this coming week. They offer some meat and fish products now and I am thinking they are packing their meats etc. with more ice or even dry ice. I have shrimp and some yellow fin coming. We will see how that goes.

Been a bit. Seems like I'm always running late with dinner these days so I forget to take pictures some nights. Over the 4th of July weekend roasted chicken with potatoes from the garden done under the chicken. Cucumbers, onions from the garden and the first garden tomato. Broccoli, bacon, cheddar, red onion salad too. We have mulberry trees around our property. I can't get to them due to the wilderness of poison ivy that grows around them. Ronnie went for me and picked the other day. Best we've had in years. Absolutely no bugs or worms. Not as big as @shain's are, but they never are. I've had purple fingers for days lol Mulberry, strawberry, blackberry and blueberry crisp Sous vide and then fried chicken Squash from the garden I made sort of a greek-ish dressing and did a cucumber, olive, tomato, roasted pine nut salad thing. Was going to add feta but it looked like blue cheese so I tossed it lol. Fried fishing baby squash with flowers to go with. Venison quesadillas, RG beans and stuffed poblanos Steak night last night. Ronnie grilled. Padron peppers, garden potatoes and @Jaymes's squash And more mulberries! Ronnie picked yesterday afternoon. Another mulberry crisp

Purple is my favorite color so I like it!

Well that sucks. Bizarre that they would do that.

@Franci Can I borrow your kids...I'm not in the mood to cook. Plus, I can tell they cook way better than me! @liamsauntThanks for the recipe. I also want to try this soon. I have some really thin pieces of salmon and this seems like a good way to use them. I did a chicken in my Ninja the other night. High pressure for ten minutes and then four hundred degrees on the air crisp setting for about 12-15 mins. Just as tender as the CSO....and I didn't have to cover the top so that it didn't burn. But, there is good and bad in everything. Dragging the Ninja out...the cleaning etc. Had tons of leftover chicken and some beautiful poblano peppers. So, chicken\onion\pepper quesadillas and chiles rellenos. Best rellenos I've made. I did the sauce the day before. Stuffed them with sharp cheddar, jalapeño jack and a bit of mozzarella and then froze them for about thirty mins. Did the trick and all the cheese didn't run out before they were fried. I don't do these often because they are a pain, but oh they are good. RG beans on the side. Big salad to use up more chicken. The first of the Yukon gold potatoes...excellent. Yeah...probably weird to put on a salad , but it worked.

I just drooled. My okra looks so much better than last year so I'm hoping to do exactly as you have pictured a LOT this summer. I only got one tiny portion last year.

Me neither dang it.

Imperfect Foods. Got an email telling me they are changing my order time. Now it's the exact same day and time as Misfits. I think they should combine themselves lol. No problems this time except one item didn't ship. I HATE complaining but I also hate paying for things that I didn't get lol. The poblanos are gorgeous.

We had a huge storm last night. Over sixty mph winds and over 3 inches of rain in like an hour. Hence the downed tree sigh. I snapped a few pictures of the garden lest you guys think I don't have one this year. I should have done it a lot sooner. The potato plants were gorgeous. The flowers! First time planting russet and Yukon gold. The first golds! I think this is a cantaloupe There are going to be lots of those and watermelons....if things keep going the way they are. Okra patch. Doing MUCH better than last year. Cucumbers Three hundred onions almost ready to harvest. The storm was so strong it blew some of them out of the ground. 55 tomato plants. Two of which I'm not sure are going to make it. And the monster horseradish that I need to do some serious reading up on when to harvest, how to harvest etc. I can't wait to have sinus blowing horseradish sauce.

@Norm MatthewsI remember you talking about that bakery before. That looks so delicious I might need to place an order! @liuzhouI need to remember this for duck season. Do you make and\or purchase the pancakes --forgive the lack of the question mark. Certain keys such as that and the number six have decided to quit working on my laptop. I have a plug in keyboard but I'm currently too lazy to go get it lol. More fried fish and fries Garden is starting to produce a little. Had the first little cucumbers--managed to get them before the dogs did--and make a little cherry tomato type salad along with chicken roasted on top of little red potatoes from the garden. Salmon from Imperfect Foods. Yes, it's the thin pieces but still good as long I don't over cook it which is easy to do! Along with cheese ravioli and the first zucchini from the garden.

Kind of boring lol but I do love my new purple rubber ice cube tray! I had some onions going south so I made Vivian's R-Rated onions and froze them. After frozen I popped them out and vac packed them. Handy.

I'm interested, too. I would be very likely to buy if there are thicker pieces, not just tail pieces.

Ronnie picked our first one a couple days ago. I laid it on the arm of the chair on the porch. Chum had a nice snack 🙄 There are tons of little baby ones so hopefully by next week.

Oh thank heavens!

The website says that the mandarins are grown in California. They had stickers on them, but they drive me nuts so I remove them immediately lol. A lot of that will stay good for a couple of weeks. Potatoes will last longer. We use a lot of limes and lemons. The avocados live in the fridge so they are slow to go bad. I might skip next week...then again Independence Day is coming up so they might have something tempting. Salmon is in the brown packages.

ARRRGH. I had just talked myself off of this.

Ronnie's little green house tomatoes are doing so well. Very sweet and good. Like summer bursts in your mouth. We are eating a lot of salads. Had some venison burger left over so I made a few meatballs Used a precious jar of Palisade peaches that I canned to make a peach crisp for dessert Last night was steak night. My favorite beef cut used to be the filet, but it changed ribeye over the years. However, I was hungry for a filet so I bought two small ones from Imperfect Foods. They weren't a thick cut but boy they were good. Nice and tender. Ronnie had venison. Here is mine: Our first red potatoes from the garden that I roasted in butter and lemon juice with just a sprinkle of fresh parm on top and the usual salad to go with.
