Delicious looking pie, David! So, that pound cake that I showed above...SO good, but it's just the two of us and we didn't eat it fast enough. I should have put it in the freezer. Anyway, I had about half a cake left and it got stale in the fridge. I didn't want to waste all that goodness so I made a bread (cake?) pudding out of it. A couple cups of milk, 4 eggs and about half a cup of sugar mixed up and poured over the cubes of cake. I also put in some raspberries. Served warm , just out of the oven. Pretty good- 487 replies

I dried some cherry tomatoes in the oven yesterday to keep in a jar covered with olive oil. All those tomatoes and the jar is only this full I'll be doing some more today.

Heck yeah!!! I have really been missing our food blogs around here. -
So, was the Zuni chicken amazing? Like you, that's on my list to try.

Very nice, Franci. Are those grapes? Haul from today: The big 'maters are coming on!!! Yippeeeeeee!!!! Lots and lots and lots of cherry tomatoes

FauxPas and Scuba, your salmon has me wanting some. Both look very moist and delicious. Liuzhou, I LOVE cabbage rolls. I usually stuff with meat, but I may have to try your way. Gfweb, I love how melty the lasagna looks. Good stuff. Venison tostadas and rice for us Edit: I swear this picture didn't look this blurry before

at the asterisk. I have dinner for breakfast most days. Leftovers from the night before. Sweet foods give me a nauseous feeling if I eat them in the morning for some reason.

I love his dry sense of humor. I LOVE that he likes Ina. He's spot on there. I like Anthony *shrug* I really do. I wish him the best of luck. I was kinda shocked when he got married.

Crusty knees Oh, you brought back a fun memory. When I was a kid my Grammy would make nachos for dinner--the guac would have been an excellent addition, but that was never added. But the nachos were such a treat. I remember one epic night that we had several servings of nachos while I watched Gone With The Wind for the first time

Oh Franci, that is a beautiful cake. I know you are enjoying being at home again. -
Do you just throw the okra on a tray whole?

OkanaganCook--Pig and pasta--you've hit on two of my favorite things!!! FauxPas-Such a lovely plate of food. So pretty! Liuzhou-You're killing me with all the fresh seafood. I want! I was on my own last night so I made a batch of basil pesto sauce to freeze. I had a smidge left so I tossed it with pasta, cherry tomatoes and artichoke hearts. I also had some eggplant in there.

Nice! Duck fat candle was neat.

OMG Liuzhou, AMAZING looking food. I am envious!!!! The scallops, the shrimps, the fish maw, those lovely buns and the egg. Drooling here. I had to google Lizard's Tail. Looks interesting. Thank you for sharing all of the pictures! My husband made us pork ribs. Nice and tender and smokey.

Oh, I'll come over. I find extracting peas very relaxing Especially with a cocktail or two.

I bet your jellies were gorgeous. I was super worried that mine weren't going to set up and I'd have to call them syrup. I'll take the syrup, but I really didn't want to fail on my first jelly attempt.

Thank you!!! Not really any plans. I just wanted to see if I could do it and then plum bushes are loaded this year. I made a comment this morning that I think it would be good mixed with something and slathered on ribs. It's tart/sweet.

Eggs around here got up to almost $4/dozen but now have come back down to $2.50. I'm not sure why. I haven't bought any for quite a few months, though, because I buy them from a wonderful girl down the road. I hope her chickens stay healthy!
