So glad you're home and back on your feet! I love red velvet cake.

Usually around 40. Last summer a few never made any tomatoes. Beautiful plants but no fruit. Maybe that will happen again 🤣

Niman Ranch smoked bacon breakfast sausage

Jalapeño cheese sausages and peppers with fries, sauerkraut and deviled eggs Fried chicken and collards from the garden I wanted Shakshuka but Ronnie doesn't care for it so I made a small one for me--I figured he'd end up eating some so I did three eggs. He made poached eggs for himself and then stole one of mine. He still claims not to like it lol sigh.

Took some pictures in the garden this morning. Most everything is doing ok so far. Fingers crossed. Green beans--the rabbits have been nipping them off 😠 Yellow squash and zucchinis Tomatoes. We have over 60 plants in the ground 😮. My mom took a few but no one else wanted any and I couldn't bear to just let them die. So, most of them are in the main garden and the rest are in the smaller north garden. I may be in deep trouble. If I go missing check under the piles of tomatoes in the kitchen. Peppers--pepperoncini, banana, jalapeno, bell Onions Cucumbers Watermelons and cantaloupes not pictured

I've never heard of it. Looks interesting. I like that you can see what they offer--except you can't see the prices which I don't like.

I think it is equivalent--the gyoza looks too pretty to eat! (but what I wouldn't give for that pan of goodness right now. I'm sick of low/no-carbing. I WANT PASTA)

To clarify I know that your beloved husband is not with us...I was just trying to be delicate.

Yay! I'm so glad you've made it!! I know you (and your wonderful husband) are perfectly capable of everything you do, but I always did/do breathe a sigh of relief when I know you guys are home safe and sound. PJ is LOVING that stream. Those are my favorite kind of capers. I need to order some.

Thank you so much. I am so sad that the peonies are done sigh. Yeah.....I still feel lonely and she's been gone for days. (hugs)

Oh my you've made my week. That's so nice of you to say. The bad thing is no one eats it because they say it's too pretty 🤣

As per usual I've been really bad about taking pictures. Maybe because I think my food is super boring sigh lol. Also because my mom came to visit!!! And, we get to talking and having fun and I forget pictures. You may remember last year--she came exactly the same time as last year when we had that huge storm that cracked our barn in half and blew down a zillion trees--anyway, ANOTHER big storm was forecast so she got here around 3 I think in the afternoon. She beat the storms again and luckily they weren't as bad as last year. Last year we had no power for most of her stay and that was no fun. SO, we had a really fun visit and didn't have to chainsaw a bunch of trees and not sweat to death with no air-conditioning. Charcuterie board when she arrived--radishes from our garden Next morning we had champagne while I opened gifts from her Blackberries in the champagne Mexican stuffed peppers And then my photographing became very minimal lol. She made Grammy's rice-a-roni salad--we love this stuff and our husbands won't eat it so we make it when we're together. This was the meal on her last night here--I had fried a bunch of chicken strips for a meal and had tons left over so we had big salad night. Mom made these delicious GORGEOUS cucumber slices topped with sour cream, caviar and smoked salmon. Dill that Ronnie's growing. Sad that she's gone We got our first zucchini from the garden so I made pizza stuffed boats and sigh more salad lol

It's been very loud for most of the night. Poor Scout is terrified by thunder. It's almost 9 in the morning and I can't get her to go out and potty. I know she has to be bursting.
