I so so envy your fresh fish. A clerk at the local Ralphs (Kroger) is a fisherman and sometimes brings catch to customers. Not for money - just a good guy. I am kinda low on his totem pole as opposed to longer time customers but I love him.

My bestie (Saigon last day evac - April 30, 1975) always leaves food out. She lives!

Order something without verifying size. The ridiculously tiny saucepan I ended up with - risking life and limb to retrieve from the roadside (lovely unshooled new UPS drivers)

Well IGC's have to market and do draw in "the clueless sheep" Example https://www.armstronggarden.com/armstrong-garden-centers-torrance

In my world parchment paper comes closed with a pretty re-useable lavender tape. All tape works - I just collect the pretty ones. The point?

The ornamentals are being marketed as "cheer you up" but edibles are highly being marketed by the big boys locally. Curbside delivery of plants. daily emils. Pre-orders of trees and shrubs.

@BKEats I am in envy of your product selection. I am looking at 20 year old I think powdered ginger and thinking hhmmm let us try. Normally I'd run to market and get fresh or house pickled not now, I remember flying over the potato bunkers on way to ski in Idaho. I really want am Idaho Russet!

Let me just say I retreat when the beeotch arrives. Every dropped sprinkle or crumb is pointed out and becomes an issue. Easier to hide. Makes the next bake even more special

My simple one is no knead bread toasted with a decent melted cheese and red pepper flakes (add a rom-com and I am floating) Oh and a good cab helps
-
Last bread bake before the evil one arrives ( so probably a 4 month hiatus) Simple free form no knead with high hydration and long cold ferment. So good.Crackling on counter

You are killing me. it is all here I just can't get at it. Do post the meals so I can cry in my corner

Ha thanks Nancy. Reminded me of the fridge beer incident. Big bump, improperly locked down camper fridge door, beer bottles flew and exploded. My avatar dog launched his very large body halfway through the window into the cab.

Masks mostly eliminate that option/

Perhaps if you told us where in the world you are it would help. Kind of a no brainer in most places. Your "shrimp and lobster" comment gives pause.

Aahh redbuds. We even get them here. Such a great shade of deep pink (and I despise pink)

@Chris Hennes Excellent video - clear, concise, good pace, no un-needed chatter, touch of humor and reality. Thank you. Like the new look as well

I guess since I have spent almost my entire life mostly with boys and men (is there a difference) that seems so so minor. Burning the basketball on the Weber just oh well - kinda stinks but at least out doors. Set the neighbors tree on fire with Chinatown fireworks - at least you put it out right away.

Great flavor combo - I like the pom molasses with the hens. I would not object to a few drops in the scallop dish either.

I am not horridly dense but ya gotta help me. Looks like a mini crawdad in the MW. Being vulnerable here.

We have a topic. I miss my grape vines

Lemongrass is a clumper but like the goldfish in the bowl on the counter the container size will limit it. If you are asking about companions - not so much - it is bossy

You people! Now I can not get Elvis out of my brain https://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2011/01/elvis-sandwich-peanut-butter-banana-bacon.html

I am not an orange person (even Chihuly) but with the greenery I'll take the bowl. Post on!

@Shelby your plot is big. Can you describe your planting physically. String a line to make rows? On your hand and knees or leaning over or hoe and drop? Lot of work!

Are big name chefs doing what they can for their staff?

And you have to acknowledge the extraordinary work of World Central Kitchen (Jose Andres) https://wck.org/chefsforamerica
