I honestly don’t know, this just came to me in a newsletter today and I haven’t tried yet. I will though, knowing how much you enjoy the TJ ones.

And as a follow up to Field Mouse Pie…..
  8. I do… thank you, I will go renew my acquaintance with it!
  9. I am curious about the Mesquite Powder… I am familiar with the trees, but have no experience with it as a seasoning. What are you finding that you like to do with it?
  10. Thank you so much for sharing this!! I am enjoying it so much that I had to stop mid-video to say that 😏 We have visited the Mill City Museum that is in the ruins of the Pillsbury A mill and that was fascinating. This show really rounds out the telling of the story. Should any of you fans of flour ever find yourselves in the Twin Cities, I highly recommend a visit. It is a part of the Minnesota Historical Society and well curated. I will post a link to the Wikipedia entry if you are interested in more info. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mill_City_Museum
  11. These posts from @Toliver have always been a pleasure to read… I have gotten so many great reads!! I will sorely miss seeing his avatar pop up 😕
  12. Good thing we are just talking gadgets… the addition of books would surely break the forum!

    Old Menus

Well… raisin coffee sent me down the rabbit hole, to no avail. I wonder if it was just water which had raisins boiled in it to extract the sweetness.

    Potato Mashers

One of the quintessential shows…… “the courage of one’s convictions” (or lack thereof)

    Hush Puppies

I am looking at that Jamie Oliver recipe and eyeing my air fryer… I love fried food, but not the dealing with hot oil part. I may have to give it a play.

    Breakfast 2021

I can’t be the only one who has had to buy a book simply because you make their food look so absolutely delicious. 😛
  17. After letting the beast settle into it’s new spot for a couple days, I tried something very safe from the app’s recipe list, just to get a sense of how it should be used. I made a basic sandwich loaf and now feel ready to try making my usual sandwich bread in it. The next fling will be baguettes.

    Lunch 2021

That is the most respectfully canned tuna I have ever seen, just lovely!
  19. The bigger problem may be that you probably aren’t washing your produce before chomping into it 🤨
  20. I will be interested in the customer service response!!

    US Thanksgiving 2021

I agree… I would love to do a small Trader Joe’s turkey for us, but just in case, I have a small Butterball turkey in the freezer, as well as cranberries. Everything else should be pretty easy to find closer to the day itself, potatoes, beans and the like. I did nab a can of pumpkin, so a pie is a definite possibility. The stress of presenting a perfect Norman Rockwell meal just isn’t there when cooking for two, is it?
  22. I put a pan full of “lava rocks” (for use in gas grills) on the shelf below my stone and they all preheat for a good long time while the bread is rising. When you put the bread in, add a cup of boiling water to the pan of hot rocks (carefully!!) and get the oven door shut before you get steamed as well. After the fiasco with the oven door glass, I always set a cookie pan over the glass before I add the water… it may sound awkward, but it is all a pretty quick process.
