    Popcorn at home

Masala seasoning could be good. I just had some masala cashews last night.. Black Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp Cumin Seed Powder - 1 tsp Salt - 1 1/2 tsp.

    Thai Chili

Hey thanks.. Going over to the East Brunswick tonight.. Might hit up Las Molinos in New Brunswick, some really good portugese place, or might try to talk the parentals into trying that place.. I sent the link to my mother and she is very happy... Thanks alot.
  4. Anything that Amy's Organic makes.. That stuff tastes so horrid as well as being so filled with unnecissary calories. Also does stuff being forced to eat while pledging count.. Because if so, a Vanilla tuna milkshake with a shot of vodka that was microwaved definately is my biggest yuck.

    Natilla

    Natilla

My next question with Natilla has to do with donuts. I am thinking about making a basic donut and then filling it with the Natilla. Does anyone think this will work or do you think it will get to soggy.. Is the cream in a donut different then the consitancy of the natilla.. Also anyone have a great donut recipe

    Rue de Bassano

Ouch.. I really know nothing about Paris, other then the apartment we are renting is really inexpensive and in a beautifull building.. How far away is my apartment from the best dinning area.. If you can point me in the direction of the better area, i will try to switch my room.
  9. Will be staying at 19 Reu De Bassano.. Which is i believe on the left bank close to the Arc De Triumph.. Looking for excellent mid priced to moderate restaurants in walking distance from my apartment.. . Thank you.

    Blue Smoke

I ate at his place in Las Vegas.. Its called Memphis Championship Barbeque.. I like this place better then blue smoke.. It has more to it, more interesting dishes.. Pork stuffed potatoe skins for crying out loud.. Fried dill pickles with ranch dressing, and so on.. Blue smoke is really good, but Mike Mills is a champ.. http://www.memphis-bbq.com/menu_long.html

    Smoke it up

Thank you everyone for your help.. The bbq was a success. I bought the brisket from the butcher which came sealed.. It was a 4 pounder with all the fat.. In addition to the brisket(my fave), we bought 4 pounds of baby back ribs, a pound and a half of kielbasa and we threw in a pound of duck breast we had in the fridge. We used a homemade rub for all the meat except the duck, which due to lack of molasses we used maple syrup.. (my least favorite) We used mesquite wood and about 7 hours later we were eating. For sides we made an emerils four cheese macaroni, an epicurious creamed spinach, some corn bread, and ended with the jean -georges molten cakes that we made in a silicone mold.. Those things are really easy to pop those suckers out. (sounds like enough food for 6 people) My first beer was at 9 am, my last margarita was at 830 pm. Everyone was asleep by 9 pm.. Dinner was a success. Once again thank you everyone, and when i have time i really want to share this rub recipe i used.. It was one of the best i have ever had.
  12. Yeh I am hoping and would love to know if anyone does know of any specific outdoor celebration that takes place in San Sebastian.. Last year i was in Piazza Santa Croce in Florence and heard a beautifull classical music concert that we just came upon followed by fireworks and a group explosion of the cheapest of the cheap italian champagne. I think it ate through the jacket i was wearing.. Basically a perfect night for me would be a 8 oclock dinner into an outdoor goings on.
  13. Haha.. I just find it hilarious that you are more concerned about how a chefs relationship with a terrorist might affect his cooking as opposed to how a chefs relationship with a terrorist might affect your safety.. I find it completely normally, but I am normal enough to know I am far from normal. Thank you.. Yeh i think that Maria(Westin) place is where i am resting in between meals. .. But again, in terms of anything specific that goes on for New Years Eve anyone can help me with would be great.

  15. Thank you so much. I think this site might be the best place on the web by far.
  16. Daniel I had a look at the recipe. You can add the paste after the tomatoes are cooked. Then proceed as in the recipe... Bague ← The problem is in the paste you have all that raw ginger and garlic.. I personally like to get that a little bit in the oil to cook it up a little bit more.. The sauce didnt really cook too much after the tomatoes are added.. I believe the tomatoes cook as long as the shrimp does in the butter, which isnt very long.. What i eventually did was made about 1 and 1/2 more paste then called for. Coated the shrimp in the paste and added some to the stew while i added the onions.. None the less. It came out really good, I was starring at this thing wondering if I was going crazy or if the book didnt mention what to do.

Wow, that was fast! ← Margaritas.... the great motivator.. I will send you a pic in the morning. ← [url=http://forums.egullet.org/uploads/1098848652/gallery_15057_181_ This was one of the more simple desserts I have ever made. The pay off far out weighs the effort.
  18. Going to Half Moon resort in Montego Bay on November third for a 3 day wedding.. I think i might have a few hours to travel outside of the resort one of the days.. Anybody know if there is a cant miss place with in a short drive. Have never been there before and really know nothing about the place.. Perhaps if there is somewhere to stop either to or from the airport.
  19. I would love some information on where to stay and what to do for New Years.. We would most likely want to stay in a hotel or a website that has nice apartments.. If anyone could reco a hotel that is close to the majority of the above mentioned places that would be terrific. And if anyone could tell me of a place i should book to eat at for new years eve that would be great too.(pete and repeat are on a boat) I Really appreciate it.. Cant wait to send my write up.

    Natilla

For the traditional taste, add a stick of cinammon to the milk mixture in this recipe. Also, sprinkle with ground cinammon at the end. I have my grandmother's version, from Puerto Rico, which is very similiar to the above recipe, but made only with evaporated milk. It's sooo good. I can post it tonight. ← Hey, i would really appreciate it. Last nights tres leches cake was such a hit, i would love to stick with the evaporated milk.
