I agree with people to,with respect that school food isnt healthy.. However, if parents are not involved in the childs diet and participating in this facet of their lives, this neglect will most likely carry into many aspects. I think this is a parenting concern, by either forcing change, or providing a lunch, its the parents duty to educate and protect their child.

I also think you are selling a lot of people short here.. I think alot more people then you realize are smart enough to know mc donalds isnt good for you.

French onion soup- roasted onions with muscadet and butter, combined with chicken stock and toasted crustini baked with slices of gruyere. Rack of lamb with a dijon, garlic, bread crumb, thyme crust. A blue cheese creme fraiche potatoe gratin. Creme Brulee. several stellas bottle of rojo y los marlboros.

For me, its in my nature to not hold my feelings back.. I will be damned before i will leave a place angry without letting people know how i feel.. If its a food thing, I might be able to determine from either the quality of ingrediants, or my ordering if its something i can fix.. But if its a managerial problem or a waitstaff issue and I dont think it was handled well.. Then fuck em.. For example,I am constantly hearing about waiters that are rude and are backed by management, or people being forced to pay for terrible dishes.. In that instance, i take it personally that my patronage isn't appreciated and i write them off and more so hope for their misfortune.. But if something is handled well, then a second chance is warranted.

Different shirts jerko. Hehe. And more then a lot of stains. I was dipping the catfish from charolette into the bbq sauce on my sleeve from texas.. hehe. ← During the lean times in college. A dollar big mac = $1 , 1 marlboro = .25 cents, one OE forty = $1.49. Getting drunk and full for under three bucks. Priceless.

Ah, but let's say you are on a typical 2000 calorie a day diet (is that what is typical now?).... If you eat a light breakfast, maybe some coffee and a piece of toast, you can indulge in the thickburger for lunch, and then, well, you probably won't be that hungry for dinner so you can get bye with maybe some fruit or a salad. When you look at it that way, it isn't that awful, but then again, if you indulge in the thickburger with an already loaded up daily caloric intake, maybe it becomes issue-ridden. ← So technically you can have a 250 calorie per slice of pizza for breakfast, one for lunch and then a thickburger for dinner, and have a hundred calories to play around with... That sounds reasonable.

I was a big fan of the OE back in college 6 years ago. I really became turned off after they went with the wide mouths.. It added to much air into your stomache during the jugging process.

I'd answer a hearty yes, yes, and yes (well, maybe not just mayo and cheese, but mayo and cheese in the context of a burger, definately). ← Suggested new sig line. "Don't hold the mayo. Ever." Whatever your take on the personal responsibility issue, one undeniable consequence of the fast food arms race is the inevitable escalation of the metaphors necessary to both market and critique these monsters. For example, a quick Google search finds this: "'If the old Thickburger was food porn, the new Monster Thickburger is the fast-food equivalent of a snuff film,' said Michael F. Jacobson, executive director of the Center for Science in the Public Interest." I'm not quite sure where you go from there, rhetorically. "This is Taco Bell's 'Triumph of the Will!'" "If you eat this pizza, the terrorists will have won!" "It's Klu-Klux-Kandy!" Peripherally, for those championing the 'nobody's making you eat it' position, that same Google search turned up these 2004 media spend numbers for the big fast food firms: McDonalds -- $629 million. BK -- $296 million. Wendy's -- $231 million. Pizza Hut/Taco Bell/KFC -- $550 million. It's not coercion, but that's a lot of persuasion. ← I think that's such a testimate to our country, that while people are starving in other countries, we spend 1.7 billion just to persuade people to eat at certain establishments.

I think it's more like Tantalus' fate. I've always heard it pronounced "yu-ro" - but usually I just ask for a (g)yro...I'm enough of a clod already that I'm not worried about it. ← I dont know if its going to end that tragically cause i can alway take the three hour drive down to CP. However, i do appreciate the tie in of Greek Mythology with Greek Cuisine.

Rachael Ray in 40 dollars a day talks to the locals a little too much if you ask me.. And she is always making these huge feasts for all of these friends of hers. I suspect she has very few.

Tommy, Ever find out the name of that indian dish you were talking about.. I would love to try to make that thing too..

The reason why i put my heading in quotes is because there was a sign hanging in the restaurant i talked about which said those words exactly written on a sign above the register/ordering area.

Since the days of college park maryland and marathon deli I have been a big fan of the gyro. My problem is i havent really found one I liked since then. I like this green salt they used, white sauce, and xtra feta. Well i have since given up and would like to make my own.. Anyone have a really good step by step recipe for me. Thanks.

Those are great pics.. I had asked my slicer to bring my disposable camera behind the counter to take a bunch of pictures.. When i get them developed i will post them if they turn out good.

People need warnings not to put their toasters in the bathtub. Yes, I think people need signs. ← :I am a firm believer in letting natural selection occur. People dont need signs, insurance companies need signs.

I am a big fan of this place also.. However, i have found a big difference between the two locations and will only go to the on 48th.. I really like the spicy crab dish there.. They give you a huge amount of whole crabs to pick at.. This is one dish I get delivered, for lack of being able to eat it in a "civil" manner

On pretty much a challenge and a guaranteed refund if it sucked from the local greek deli owner, I ordered a gyro egg and cheese.. It was pretty good.. For dessert I had some homemade shoe fly pie my mother made for me.. Its a few hours later and I am slowly climbing out of the whole. Time for something a little more conservative perhaps.

People are saying that there should be a sign that tells you that this burger is unhealthy..Now you are assuming that people who are too dumb to realize that something with three burger patties, mayo, cheese and two heaps of bacon is unhealthy, can actually read..
