  1. Right thats why subway is a load of crap.. Like they care less about people. Like that cigarette commercial Carlton cigarettes does.. "If you smoke, please try carltons." Like they are concerned about your health? The bottom line is subway and carlton care just as much for you as you care about the personal health of their CEOS.
  2. The skillet is bigger then 10 inches.. But here is a photo. Dont think its the same burger but its a big one.
  3. Edited to add: There's no such thing as too much cheese. Channeling Homer Simpson: D'OH! I've been looking at one of these big guys in your avatar all this time and never realized it. Am I right that the restaurant is in Western Pennsylvania? How is it that you guys didn't make that WQED program "Sandwiches That You Will Like"? And how come you aren't posting on the Pennsylvania board? Too Phillycentric? ← I live in manhattan and dont have a restaurant.. I enjoy cooking and when friends come over this sometimes is the end result. Here is the website http://www.dennysbeerbarrelpub.com/
  4. Yeh Denny's Beer Barrel pub is a place in PA. Me and my friends have been making obscene burgers for years and we are "fine". This is a picture i think of a 4 or a four and half pounder.. We have gone up to six.. We also put alot more cheese on our guy.
  5. Everything that's old is new again?? The Charbroiled BBQ Chicken Sandwich is the yin to the Monster Thickburger's yang ... a low fat chicken sandwich?? who would have thunk it possible? ← Do people now think that the caloric contents of this sandwich should be posted, just incase people are on a special high calorie diets. I would be very upset if i found out that the sandwich I got at Hardees was a weak 370 "joy points".. I would be way behind in the game.
  6. Hmm.. I would say that this is not the buttercrust recipe.. It seems to be the same basic chicago pizza recipe I have been finding everywhere. By definition buttercrust has to have the butters.
  7. check here. i think what you want is deep dish - not stuffed...but just in case - both recipes are in there. let us know how it turns out? ← Thanks again.. Last night i made the chicago deep dish style pizza from the site and it came out just ok.. It obviously wasnt the buttercrust.. But it was kind of flakey and good on its own.. As i look over the site i think the papa del's pizza looks pretty interesting.. I will give that a try.. Maybe substitute the milk for buttermilk?
  8. The bottom line is what kind of chocolate are you looking for.. You want a piece, you want powder, you want truffles, a bar for cooking.. You want a glass of hot chocolate... Either way, stay away from the godiva.
  9. I am in the middle of the woods in upstate new york right now.. Still using the smoker... Its never too cold to bbq.. However, the abuelito mexican hot chocolate is a good addition to these awesome cookies http://www.scharffenberger.com/article_inf...pes.phpcookies..

  11. hmm.. replace half the veggi oil with butter i will try.
  12. Wow so thats it.. Thank you.. I have this same recipe.. I was expecting like a lot of butter or something... It seems like there is something missing.. But i will definately make it rerry soon..
  13. Anyone have the recipe for this.
  14. So you're talking fat dough pizza here, not thin crust? You can get both in the Chicago area. ← Yes i was just kidding around.. I am looking for the deep dish style pizza dough.. Almost like a pastry.. But i particularly like Lous Malnati's sp?.. I was hoping someone could help get that flakey texture.. I know a big difference is the corn meal.. But there has to be a ton of butter or something else.
  15. I make my hot chocolate with butter.. So i hear ya, its a good thing.
  16. So I shouldnt be pouring mine in the toilets..Or is that a different line.

No way four stars good, agreed. I dont see the rating as clear cut though.. Because, for example, the Mc Donalds that has white glove service down on wall street with a doorman, i wouldnt give it a star for service.. I do think the food is amazing at sripraphai and deserves 2 stars, but cant give a rational answer why .. I just feel it. So you are right.. 2 stars might be stretching it.. But i agree with it.. I am glad i cleared that up for.. (For myself)
  18. In chicago they have this thing they call "pizza".. Its almost like a pastry with sauce and cheese and various meats on it.. Its very good for what it is, however i wouldnt call it pizza.. I have eaten at Gino's East, Lou Manati's, and a couple of others and would really appreciate a crust similar to Lou's.. Thanks.
  19. Some people like to soak there feet at the end of the day, and others like soaked feet at the end of theirs.
  20. When i go to china, I really look foward to the end of the day eating chicken feet and a cold tsing tao.. So good.. They have them free at a lot of the bars.. The chicken foot has taken on a strange symbol of relaxiation to me..

I was their with my girlfriend.. I was the guy who had to go and get money from the machine down the street because they dont take credit cards.. Hehe.. My question is why do you think two stars is stretching it.. The decor sucks, the service not great.. I.E. When ordering a diet coke I had to open my girlfriends can for her. But the food is such a clear stand out from every other thai restaurant I have gone to, (+16) that it deserves recognition..
  22. Whats the problem.. Guinea Pig is soo good they cant help but eat themselves.. The trick is you cant put the wheel in their cage, it toughens the meat.. I kid i kid.. Having never tried one myself, I dont know how I feel about eating them..
  23. I am a big lo mein fan cold with chinese vinegar for breakfast

You weren't kidding when you said weekly! Must have just missed you on Monday. I was there with six other people and the check was about $100. Can't beat that. Food was great, as usual, but with the rennovation, the room has lost its charm. ← Hmm got there around 845.. I remember a group sitting by the window..
