Well, here's a question. Who among the available folks would you have picked for your team?

Me? I would have picked the best possible three, then sent them somewhere else. I'd rather crash and burn alone than deal with that bunch of nitwits.

That being said, my wife, friends and family are all about getting me to try out for the show. Would I win? nah. But I could be pretty entertaining. I do know a thing or two, even though I've never worked in that kind of kitchen situation. It seems that it is a lot like the farm work I did growing up. Do what the boss says, when he says it, and the way he wants it done. Period. How hard is that to grasp? Get creative when he tells you to, not when you want to be.

I sure as hell could have won some of those challenges. Who can't cut a steak?

Screw it. It's a Butterball.

Hey Heidi -- just curious, where have you worked? Are you hot?  :raz:

NASA.....*sizzle sizzle*

Here's what I expected - I expected them to pick their teams and then have Ramsay switch them so they'd end up being challenged by a team they didn't want but had to work with - I was soooo disappointed when he didn't.

You are so devious! Love it!

Jeez, I can't stand Heather either. Big cry-baby and touchy-feeling outside the kitchen, but too serious and bitchy in the kitchen when the heat's on.

Is Gordon Ramsey going to be involved in new restaurant? Do you think the executive chef job will be more of a "celebrity chef" job than a working chef job? Won't people want to see Heather FOH?

Tom has an ex-girlfriend like I'm an ex-astronaut - he's so revolting no one could be in the same room with him for longer than it took to feel nauseous.  "Good lookin' guy'?  In what prison would that be?  He'll never work for a woman - he'll never WORK.  PERIOD.  He's screwed himself there, and he doesn't even get it yet.

Brilliantly stated. I couldn't figure out why he said he'd never work for a woman then volunteered to come back and work under one of two women for the final episode? Some people just always need to keep fueling their own misery I guess.

Has anyone eaten at the new restaurant yet?

I was just going to ask that too. They did an amazing job keeping this whole thing under wraps considering the decision was filmed over 3 months ago.

If Heather is, indeed, the exec chef for one of the Red Rock Resort restaurants, they sure as hell aren't promoting it. I just searched the website and there's not a single mention of her. In fact, the only "Hell's Kitchen" reference on the website is an old news release (which reads as if it's a repost of a Fox release) from last winter announcing the restaurant would be the prize. None of the dining option descriptions mention her or Gordon. (Nor do any of the restaurants appear to be anything out of the ordinary for a resort away from the Strip).

The finale won its time period in the all-important adults 18-49 rating. So, say what you will about the show it is a ratings success and will be back next year.

Personally, I'm a bit surprised Fox hasn't milked this a little more with a follow-up or reunion special. Or a DVD with outtakes (uncensored hot tub party anyone?)

If they didn't start promoting it until Tuesday, it'll likely take a while to show up in Google. Things show up quicker in Google News I think.

A question: do we know for sure that this restaurant is even affiliated with Gordon Ramsay? I've never heard him say that the restaurant was one of HIS restaurants. It has only been mentioned along with the Red Rock resort. Gordon is the host of the television show that awarded the restaurant contract to the winner -- they may have trusted him to make the final decision as to who the winner would be, but I have a feeling his involvement ended there.

Which makes sense. Gordon Ramsay isn't opening an unlimited number of restaurants. He doesn't have a restaurant to give away for every potential season of Hell's Kitchen.

I don't think he has anything to do with the restaurant. But I could be wrong -- which is what I'm asking -- does anyone have any information to the contrary?

I definitely don't think it's one of GR's restaurants. He'd NEVER trust one of them to run one of HIS restaurants (notice last season the prize was to work UNDER him) without his standard process of beating and beating and beating on them (like Mark Sargent).

It's not one of GR's restaurants, nor would I expect it to be. What surprises me is that nearly 48 hours after the broadcast, Red Rock Resorts still hasn't updated their webpages to promote the winner. That's a PR failure. Unless they didn't want to. Hmmmmm.

This from Wikipedia:

T-Bones Chophouse and Lounge is located in the Red Rock Resort Spa and Casino located in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The restaurant opened on April 18, 2006 along with the casino. The restaurant executive chef is Hell's Kitchen (a Reality Television Series) Season 2 Winner Heather West.

Find out tomorrow on Regis & Kelly. Heather is scheduled to be a guest.

Heather West? Didn't Keith refer to Key West as Keith West? And they sure seemed to hug a lot in the final episodes...I bet Keith and Heather got MARRIED!!!

I thought his name was Keith Greene, and he usually referred to himself as K-Greene but they changed that for the TV show because they didn't want people to know his last name.

I also thought that Heather was involved with, um, someone else on the show. No?

Who?!? Did she fall for Larry in the hot tub scene?!? Or is it Rachel?!? Enquiring minds want to know!!!

I wish they'd do a reunion show, like they did with Top Chef at the end, or bring back last year's winner to see what he's been up to.

I hear K-Grease is peddling a line of sauces, rubs and marinades - I'm sure they are all "slammin". He's also trying to land a spot on Iron Chef. Yeesh.

Heather did a quickie interview in US magazine last week and said she's talking with Keith about him working at her restaurant.

Well it looks as if Chef Ramsey is not going to be the one yelling at contestants on the third season of Hell's Kitchen. It looks like the new top toque will be none other than the man who supposedly made Ramsey cry, Marco Pierre White. Not sure if this is in the States or across the pond though. I'll have to see when I make it on the show.
