  1. David, excellent point regarding Kristen. Case in point: Stephanie Izard
  2. Regarding the Christmas episode - Hubby and I sat through that one scratching our heads and giving each other WTF looks. THEN, at the end, the Samantha Brown thing was hilarious! Made watching it up to that point well worth it.
  3. At the beginning of this season, I seem to remember her saying something about how she was SO tough as nails, that she made other chefs cry in the kitchen. I find that hard to believe!
  4. Yay for Dave! Any other day I would have rooted for Kevin . . . but Dave truly deserved the win with the agony he's had to endure with that arm. And I would have FIRED Amanda!! As for Robert, I sincerely hope we've seen the end of that arrogant douch-bag (sorry, but I just can't help myself). I've never seen a bigger cry-baby when he gets reprimanded. For Pete's sake, HK producers: DO not bring him back for a 3rd season!!
  5. I saw it the same way . . . I was actually kind of surprised at how grateful Mike was for Ash's commmentary.
  6. Well, I watched the premiere episode finally. All I can say is . . . UG.
  7. Well, I taped it, but have not watched yet. It sounds as if it's gone down a few notches. I'll watch this first episode and decide whether the rest of the season is worth wasting time on . . .
  8. Oh, I gotta admit . . . I'll be watching, too.
  9. I, too, am enjoying this show. I enjoy the fact that we're actually seeing more actual cooking in the kitchen and less drama. I do understand that there will be a bit of bickering between regular Top Chef contestants, but I can do without watching them snuggle on the sofa and worrying about what their significant others are going to think. As for Defresene, he reminds me of Ray Manzarek of the Doors in an odd sort of way. Must be the sideburns.
  10. Seems fairly simple to me: He deserved to be fired. Plain and simple. From what you've stated, the case is/was there.
  11. An example of the lousy editing on this show: During the taste test, Andrea flubbed up. Then they show her teammates standing there gasping . . . and who is standing there on the far left? Andrea, of course
  12. So sad . . . ANYthing can happen to ANYone at ANYtime.
  13. Wasn't Natasha Richardson (the actress that just passed away due to a head injury from a ski accident) one of the guest judges on an episode in this season?
