My group had a very nice dinner at Oceanos, last evening.

This restaurant is very nice appointed but can be a bit noisy. The Bergen Record had an article, recently, about the owner. He has a home in Greece where he maintains and produces several varieties of olives An assortment of those olives were placed on the table with his homemade sourdough bread along with a dish of his wonderfully pungent olive oil. A good start to any meal.

We decided to share the Greek Salad and Mediteranean Dip appetizer for starters.

We were three and the salad was enough to staisfy all of us. It was a nice assortment of tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, feta, and mixed greens with a lemon mint vinegarette. The vinegarette was perfect for this salad.

I see in an above post there is a pic of the Mediteranean dips that included the usual hummus, and babaganoush, but also had a blue cheese and pimento and another that I can't recall.

For entrees, I chose the sesame tuna over soba noodles; one friend chose the Diver Scallops over Spinach with Lemon Potatoes and the other friend chose the Pan Seared Salmon drizzled with a Raspberry Balsamic Vinegarette. I pursuaded my friend to share one of her scallops and they were really good. In fact, all were excellently prepared.

We chose not to have dessert but just have coffee.

It was a good choice and I will definitely be back again.
