I'll be there next week and would like to know of a good place for lunch. I'm afraid my last visits there have not unearthed any culinary delights. Hell, I'll even settle for good fish n chips.

We have a couple members who live in that area ... they'll likely chime in.

HERE is another thread on a similar search.

Giraffe is good ... but I don't think they do lunch.

The best dining in my opinon is the Giraffe. Nice service, well presented food, and a decent wine list. Jacques Tapas Bar is o.k. but I'm not sure if it is still in business.

Cheers,

Stephen

I second Giraffe (but must mention that I also used to work there). Giraffe is open for lunch Thursday through Saturday (and Brunch on Sunday). Jacques Tapas Bar closed a few months back and I'm not sure who took over the space. A few places on Marine Drive have also closed - the main one that comes to mind is Sam's Waterfront.

Pearl, definitely.

Most women don't seem to know how much flour to use so it gets so thick you have to chop it off the plate with a knife and it tastes like wallpaper paste....Just why cream sauce is bitched up so often is an all-time mytery to me, because it's so easy to make and can be used as the basis for such a variety of really delicious food.
