I realize that 'butcher' does not mean 'whole pig' but if you search this forum using 'butcher' you will find a lot of great recommendations including:

They run a stand at several western Essex farmers markets, selling both produce and meat. However, I don't recall their having pork, but it couldn't hurt to give them a call.

I'm betting that you could also get one at any of the places in the Ironbound (Newark)...let me see if I can get a name or two for you.

I'm fairly certain you can get a whole pig from any of the Seabra's grocery stores. I used to go to the one in Kearny on Schuyler Ave, which sold every cut of pig imaginable.

I live in bergen county new jersey-own a caja china pig roasting box-looking for a great butcher that sells fresh  whole pigs for bbq

I went to Goffle Farm in Wyckoff yesterday to get some chickens, and they had a sign up advertising suckling pig. The guy said they can get any size, they just need a week's notice. I think he said $2.50/lb, but don't quote me on that.

The Spanish insert to the Shop Rite circular for Nov 20-26 has suckling pig at $1.99 a pound. It says "Tenemos Cerditos Frescos Ponga su orden hoy el Departmento de Carnes"

This is the from the circular that came to my house in Elizabeth. Half the insert is in Spanish, the other half features their Kosher department.

Cheek by jowl, as it were.

Have you been to the live market on Elizabeth Avenue.. That place looks interesting.. Also there is a picture of almost every animal I can imagine on the sign outside..

Caja China, Caja China!!!! Not just for pigs.. Winesonoma posted about these things.. So awesome, can you please post pictures.
