Calvados Sidecars are my favorite!

I also experimented with Ginger Beer and Sidecars and came up with Ginger Sidecars. They'll be on our October specialty cocktails list here at the Bass, along with the Slippery Slopes and Dark n' Stormys you all sampled at the Pig Pickin', and Lemon-Ginger Cosmopolitans with Absolut Citron, a bit of Ginger Beer and the usual Cosmo accoutrement

All of which you are.

Now Katie has me thinking about these.

Lovely stuff but oh so sticky counters when mixing at a party.

Dress code at the restaurant tomorrow night?  Do I pack my tiara or leave it at home?

Dress code is shorts, yellow polo shirts, and shoes with no socks. A tiarra is fine.

I'm sure Alex has mentioned it, but I'm lazy, so I'll ask here.

Do not worry about a dress code. Seriously.

Serious or not serious? = Will I be wearing shorts, a yellow polo shirt, & work boots covered in pig shit?

I have a fifth of leftover Pig Pickin' limoncello in my freezer now. BWAHAHAHAHA!

I do have some leftover pig that I'm bringing

Just wear what's comfortable. I've seen patrons wear anything from cutoffs to prom dresses. A tiara would be good, but only if I can wear it for a little while.

*whine* I wanna hang out with the Chicago kids.

*whine* I want leftover limoncello.

I guess I'll have to make do with an image of Maggie in a tiara, yellow polo shirt, shorts and shoes with no socks. Which would be almost as priceless as facetime and limoncello. There will be a picture, right?

There'll be many, many pictures. (Personally, I want one of Dean in the tiara.) Not to mention: I'm gonna have my note pad at the ready.

I'll make sure we toast you, Malawry -- every night!

Me, I vote for the joyride every time.

Oh, Rochelle...to have you there with us this weekend! As a matter of fact, to recreate our entire Raleigh kitchen brigade! Dean, Dawn and I will lift a glass to you, Erin and Dave...and all the others.

(Um...I don't own a polo shirt. Little Black Dress maybe?)

 A little black dress would work too, thanks much.

Ya'll will have a terrific time next weekend. And Dean doesn't need a tiara, he's king of the hill already (in his own mind anyway...and in my coffee-swilling heart)!

Here you go, Maggie. Overnight shipping gets it here in time for dinner tomorrow.

Thanks, Alex, but it's the wrong yellow on me! And the Harry Winston diamond necklace would just be so wasted inside a polo shirt.

The late Steve Goodman got it right, at least for today, Dave:

Do they still sing the blues in Chicago

When baseball season rolls around?

At the op'ning of May

Do the Cubbies still play

In their ivy-covered burial ground?

...(several intervening verses and choruses)...

The home of the brave...

The land of the free...

And the doormat of the National League!

Sometime this weekend, I'll teach you all the whole thing. Seems appropriate somehow.
