there are many variations of that classic american japanese restaurant dressing.. some say add carrot, some say onion, there are all sorts of things.. I like to take my mortar and pestle and smash together some ginger first, then add soy, sweet soy, sugar, oil, an undetectable amount of sesame oil a little rice vinegar and that's it.. Sometimes, onion, sometimes carrot.. I like the sugar,soy, ginger combo.. From there, many things can happen.
