Romantic Italian restaurants in Long Branch are not that plentiful. Joe & Maggie's has great food, but not Italian, and not really romantic. The Reef Club is a great seafood restaurant, but again, not Italian. Maybe a bit too busy to be romantic.

Are you flexible regarding cuisine and location?

How about Piccolo Forno on Ocean Ave? It's Italian and could be considered romantic.

Would also recommend Piccolo Forno. Very good food and romantic even when Angelo starts singing...

Another Red Bank destination would be Buona Sera. A visually stunning dining room though the romance might be tested by the noise level at dinner.
