Help! My enrober belt has broken. What would be the quickest way to get it working?

I have a small Perfect enrobing line. Today  a link in the belt broke, and suddenly the belt gave out in several spots. Do you have any suggestions for getting it online quickly. We are hand (fork) dipping everything but the enrober made it so much quicker. Help, please.

I was going to suggest a bra strap, that is what our  VW bus survived on for 2 days before we got to a mechanic when the  fan belt broke.

I have some bent links in mine. I bought some extra belt material to fix, but I'm too chicken to try it! I figure bent is better than what I would do to it. I have used a rubber band in place of the detailer belt. Works fine. Good luck.

You should be able to, or someone else can, use stainless steel wire to solder a repair.

You will need plumber's solder (no lead metal), and stainless steel soldering flux.

Perfect sells sections of the belt material. They also have instructions. You have damaged too many links to repair, IMHO. Looks like something got jammed.

I finally got someone at Perfect who could help me. I ordered two feet of belt, figuring  that more breaks are coming. I will probably get someone more technically astute to do the actual repair. Thank you for commenting.
