2008 PA Farm Market Guide

Recommended Posts

A county-by-county listing (pdf file) of Pennsylvania's farm markets for 2008 can be found here, courtesy of the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.

Edited to credit the Northeast Times as having the article about the guide.

That is a nice resource but it appears to contain only a fraction of the markets where farm products can be bought from the source. I can think of many places within 15 miles of where I am sitting that sell locally produced fruits, vegetables, meats, cheese, eggs, and flowers but are not listed. I don't know if some producers/markets chose not to participate or if PDA wasn't looking very hard.

What can I tell ya, I'm only providing the link. I don't know what the criteria was, if any, for inclusion in the publication. Of course, if anyone knows of any farm markets not listed in the state's guide they can certainly give folks the pertinent information here on eG.
