I am thrilled to see the Dark Chocolate Oreos are still being stocked on local store shelves (as opposed to being a limited time offer). Just the aroma will soothe my soul after a bad day at work. Remind me to get a life.

When I first started posting these bargain-priced e-cookbooks, I didn't realize there would be a difference between the US version of Amazon and the Canadian Amazon. Which is why I now post that annoying little disclaimer at the end of my posts. I really am sorry anyone outside the US can't share in the same cheap price. I never know how long the sale prices will last. Some e-ccokbooks seem to linger at the same low price for a year and others, as in this case, go off sale almost immediately. I just fail to understand why this happens. Perhaps it has something to do with temporarily boosting sales to get a book onto a best seller list. It's a cheat but seems like it's effective.

I am referring to the regular Butterfinger candy bar. They changed the recipe. It actually used to taste buttery. There was much ado when they (recently) made the change to the recipe. The candy bar does not taste the same as it used to.

Oddly, I received a PR email from Kripsy Kreme at my workplace (so no online link) with this announcement: "Krispy Kreme® Collaborates with Butterfinger® in Collision of ‘Krispety’ Cravings with Two New Doughnuts" Having tasted (and detested) the new-recipe Butterfinger candy bar, I will pass on these doughnuts. If anyone takes one for the team, please report back.
