I had an aunt that ate NY style that way as she viewed using ones hands as rude. Ya have to love WASP logic.

In order to patent the sauce you need to explain whats in it. The final result being granted the patent but not the formula.

In cases like this I seek the help of the people that made the item. some even have stuff online, GE is great for that.

Please do tell. I have had a few meals there and all seemed fine. Sirvice is a little slow but the food matched what I would expect.

Iuse Walkers jerk sauce. Like most forms of BBQ I think there is a lot of room for interpertation. The argument could also be made that true jerk would not have soy sauce.

What universe are you in? only ferous metals are magnetic; aluminum and copper are not ferous. I have never seen copprer aract or be influenced by a magnet. True stainless steel is non magnetic and that is a main reason it is used in pistols.

From HowStuffWorks.com; Another common puffing method for rice (as in Quaker Puffed Rice), corn (as in Sugar Pops) or wheat (as in Sugar Smacks) is called gun puffing. You cook/condition the grain to get the moisture right and pressurize it to something like 200 PSI. Then you release the pressure instantly. The pressure stored inside the kernel puffs the kernel when the pressure is released. If you have ever heard a cereal ad that talks about "shooting the cereal out of a gun," this is what they are talking about! Puffing the rice makes it spongy instead of crispy.

For a Mac that is at the low end I have seen Mac laptops go for over $3K. For a PC that would be on the high end. This is not counting the extra money for software.

That is what insurance was made for. File a claim because it was a theft after fileing a police report and let the insurance company handle it. My renters policy would cover all but the deductable for the loss since the computer went missing after the bag was secured.

Strange that you bring this up as I was talking about gas and pizza prices under the same general conditions. Both a slice of pizza and gallon of gas remain in stride with 1972 prices with an increase of only a few points to inflation. Booze has not been so lucky as a half gallon (now a 1.75 L) of cheap booze could be had for around $7.00 and a bar drink was around $1.00-$2.00 depending on bar and location. Now a 1.75L bottle of cheep stuff is around $12.00 but a drink has gone up to over $8.00 for bar level booze and named brands are through the roof $15. So all other things being equal and taking in to account that the minimum wage is woefully behind the times. No I think it is still out of kilter with the costs involved even when adjusted for inflation. The bartender would have to be earning around $17.00 before tips and I would have to work out the rest of it but on face value margin of profit has increased over labor and cost of goods. As you pointed out the cost of fruit and juices have fallen as well as the syrups for soda and tonic.

I think Mr. Puck is a great pitch and idea man but not long on logistics. Remembering stories on his from his early days and how he would buy a lot of the ingredients himself from small shops ETC. Great for one or two units but would never work for what he runs now and I think he is still stuck in that mentality. He may just hand off other aspects to other people and that can work. It sounds more of jumping on a bandwagon for publicities sake than a well thought out plan. Regional availability and pricing will certainly be the smallest problem. Especially at his flagship units as I would think they consume a lot of product to meet demand. Again it does not sound like something he has spent years thinking about. He does not mention new “partnerships” with farms or suppliers and to me that would be a selling point.

I don't think he has thought about hiw this will change such things as price and distributuon. He is spred too thin and will have to have his own distribution centers or his supplers will kill him by price structure.

At the low end Russel`Dexter packs the most bang for the buck followed by Chicago Cuttlery. Stay away from anything with a "stay-sharp" (serrated) edge as they usualy ar junk. A better idea might be a gift card for a good cuttlury store for her to get her own choise. If she is anything like my MIL almost any knife is an improvement.

Do your self and friend a favor and decline politely. Too much can go wrong and ruin or strain your friendship. Not only from a legal stand point but logistical. You would need a certified commercial kitchen to do the work and store the cake as well As several city permits and licenses. The bride will change her mind at least four times between now and the date. Unless she is a graphic artist that can give you a color rendition of the cake she wants you will miss or not get some detail. That is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg and Murphy’s Law will be in full effect. I have learned the hard way on this issue and variations of it that favors for weddings and other once only events can spell doom.
